- 0:00–0:19वाईन like arms are locked around one another. From the exertion of their love-making, streams of sweat wash the fragrant sandal paste from their bodies. The memory of union awakens in wonder.
- 0:19–0:24lip's tighten, breath rises and falls unsteadily.
- 0:24–0:27Sudden sighs of delight escape them.
- 0:27–0:30Their eyes shine with pleasure.
- 0:30–0:33The hair on their bodies stands on end.
- 0:33–0:38Their brows dance, and their hands whirl in ecstasy.
- 0:38–0:46The rapture in emotion of Shiva and Parvati's intoxicated union spread in every direction.
- 0:46–0:52The demon Rahu is moving across the sky from the sun toward the moon.
- 0:52–0:56Eager to swallow the moon is his meal and cause an eclipse.
- 0:56–1:01Moon faced Parvati, when he sees your face.
- 1:01–1:07So like the moon in radiance, will he not mistake it for the moon and try to swallow
- 1:07–1:09it?
- 1:09–1:15Hearing her lord's words, Parvati looks up to trace Rahu's path through the sky,
- 1:15–1:21When Shiva seizes the chance to kiss the venerable God dispassionately, may this praise of the
- 1:21–1:27three-eyed Lord fulfill the wishes of the good and virtuous.
- 1:27–1:35After reciting the Benedictory verse, the S-U-T-R-A-D-H-A-R-A, the leading actor, speaks,
- 1:35–1:39There is no point in saying more.
- 1:39–1:41Let me put it simply.
- 1:41–1:49The poetry of Jagadishwar Bhattacharya is like a wondrous fair-skinned woman, free, unrestrained,
- 1:49–1:54independent, and capable of harousing every emotion.
- 1:54–2:01It is adorned according to the rules of poetic ornament, with simile and the rest, through
- 2:01–2:04which true understanding arises.
- 2:04–2:09It is faultless by the severe standards of grammar and other disciplines.
- 2:09–2:13It overflows with laughter and every raza.
- 2:13–2:16And has the power to make men laugh.
- 2:16–2:22When scholars hear Jagadishwara's poetry, they laugh until their very teeth begin to
- 2:22–2:24fall out.
- 2:24–2:28His worst delights the learned soul and grants boundless pleasure.
- 2:28–2:34The poet Sri Jagadishwar, whose lineage was purified by the worship of Shiva and whose
- 2:34–2:38poetic power thereby shone forth.
- 2:38–2:45As commanded me, in keeping with the spring season, Stage my fast the ocean of laughter
- 2:45–2:50And fill the hearts of connoisseurs of poetry with delight.
- 2:50–2:53His command must certainly be obeyed.
- 2:53–2:59Before this learned assembly, my own heart is restless and eager to flirt in spring
- 2:59–3:03with its enchanting voice, and to dance as.
- 3:03–3:12Well, come, then, let us dance, play music, and begin to sing, Ah, the beauty of spring
- 3:12–3:14is stirring my heart.
- 3:14–3:21For, whose sensitive heart does not search with joy in spring, when the wind, caressed
- 3:21–3:28by the Malia woods, carries the fragrance of sandalwood, and the sweet humming of bees
- 3:28–3:32mingles with the melodious call of the cuckoo.
- 3:32–3:37And so, what does the honey drunk be not do in spring?
- 3:37–3:43It roams humming through the garden, flies up into the sky, then tumbles back from the
- 3:43–3:44air.
- 3:44–3:47Its body dusted with pollen.
- 3:47–3:54It wanders here and there, casting restless glances, kissing the flowers and embracing
- 3:54–3:56its beloved lady.
- 3:56–4:02Your pupils cast darting side long glances like clusters of lotuses hanging from a
- 4:02–4:10golden vessel. How can there be pleasure without a woman? Lady, your pupils cast darting glances
- 4:10–4:16like clusters of lotuses suspended from a golden vessel.
- 4:16–4:22Your body is like moonlight. You are like the arrow of the love God. Your body seems
- 4:22–4:31bitten by love as by a serpent. Your body is nectar itself. Beloved, you are clever,
- 4:31–4:35Butful, keen, you are lovely and radiant.
- 4:35–4:40Come quickly, enter the naughty, the leading actress.
- 4:40–4:43My lord, I have come as you desired.
- 4:43–4:47Be gracious to me with your sweet words.
- 4:47–4:52Honoured lady, look, when the cuckoo's sweet song spreads everywhere.
- 4:52–4:56When bees in the bower's kiss flowers in rapture.
- 4:56–5:03Jasmine fragrance, touched by the wind from the Malia Woods, fills every quarter, what
- 5:03–5:11discerning man, at spring's arrival, is not wounded by the arrows of the love God?
- 5:11–5:18And again, in this springtime the Madhavika wine, laden with fresh blossoms, joyfully
- 5:18–5:25embraces the mango tree, through the unspoken murmur of that delighted embrace, and through
- 5:25–5:31the cuckoo's melodious song. The wine seems to instruct a newly married bride in the
- 5:31–5:40arts of love. She appears distracted, honoured lady, why do you seem so preoccupied?
- 5:40–5:43My lord, have you not heard?
- 5:43–5:44Heard what?
- 5:44–5:51I am worried and distracted because we must speak of the government of a king named Anayasindu,
- 5:51–5:56remains forever shut inside the women's quarters of his palace.
- 5:56–5:58My dear, is that true?
- 5:58–6:00Yes, it is true.
- 6:00–6:03A voice is heard from behind the curtain.
- 6:03–6:10King Anaya Sindhu, the ocean of disorder, is approaching swiftly, wishing to learn
- 6:10–6:14both the welfare and the misery of the city.
- 6:14–6:20Citizens, heap together great waterless earthen pots, and arrange for lines to be drawn
- 6:20–6:26across the royal road with needles made from drain husks.
- 6:26–6:32Looking upward and listening, after hearing the proclamation, fear and suspicion have
- 6:32–6:38driven justice, good policy, and every decent person away.
- 6:38–6:45Who, after hearing the clever talk of rogues and swindlers, is not scheming to seize another
- 6:45–6:46man's wealth?
- 6:46–6:54In today's kingdom, who does not take another man's wife by force to satisfy his lust?
- 6:54–6:57This king is now advancing toward the city.
- 6:57–7:01My dear, it would be unwise for us to remain here.
- 7:01–7:07Come, let us both leave by this road and go somewhere else.
- 7:07–7:12The S-U-T-R-A-D-H-A-R-A in Naati exit.
- 7:12–7:19of the prologue, Enter King Anayas in Dhechu, the ocean of disorder, with the servant.
- 7:19–7:28Ah! what misery! My body has been struck limp by the flower arrows of the love-god and scorched
- 7:28–7:37by the fire of passion. Day and night I devise ways to sleep with other men's wives. For
- 7:37–7:44Many days. Therefore, I have been unable to attend to the welfare of my citizens.
- 7:44–7:54Supreme Spy. Interpreter of false appearances. Make a complete investigation of the condition of my kingdom.
- 7:54–7:56As my lord commands.
- 7:56–8:04The spy goes out, peers ahead, then returns and speaks loudly into the king's ear.
- 8:04–8:09My Lord, I have penetrated the secret of the kingdom.
- 8:09–8:11Speak, speak!
- 8:11–8:21For lack of counsel, the administration of justice and the civil law, legal procedure, have long fallen into utter neglect and decay.
- 8:21–8:22How?
- 8:22–8:29My Lord, for this reason, every man abandons other men's wives and embraces only his own.
- 8:29–8:33Even in the presence of qualified, learned Brahmans,
- 8:33–8:42Cobblers continue sewing shoes. Shameless people worship Brahmins even when members of the lowest cast stand safely nearby.
- 8:42–8:48Your Majesty. Rules are being violated in this scandalous fashion throughout your kingdom.
- 8:48–8:53And furthermore, women apply coal not to their thighs, but to their eyes.
- 8:53–9:01They do not decorate their lips with vermilion, but place vermilion in the parting of their hair. Where it shines red,
- 9:01–9:02red. They paint their feet with lac and wear
- 9:02–9:12anklets on their ankles. They do not wear jewel-studded necklaces over their eyes or anklets across both breasts.
- 9:12–9:18They wear necklaces around the waist rather than on their feet, and a golden girdle around the
- 9:18–9:25waist rather than on the lips. With great distress I have seen such upside down, meaningless wearing
- 9:25–9:33of ornaments in every house of the kingdom. The king listens to the spy, then speaks aside.
- 9:33–9:39For a long time I have given no thought to affairs of state. That is why justice has
- 9:39–9:47collapsed so rapidly. Very well. I shall establish a system of punishment.
- 9:47–9:52Allowed. Listen. Summon my minister, Kumativama, known
- 9:52–9:55as the Defender of Folly.
- 9:55–9:57As my lord commands.
- 9:57–10:04The spy exits and returns with the minister. Enter the Defender of Folly. He salutes the
- 10:04–10:06king with his left hand.
- 10:06–10:14My lord, without waiting for me to ask, state plainly whatever you desire. I shall carry
- 10:14–10:15it out.
- 10:15–10:21Minister, because there has been no suitable place to hold court, I have been unable
- 10:21–10:25for many days to discuss affairs of state.
- 10:25–10:31My lord, there is an exceedingly fine place right here for holding court.
- 10:31–10:33Say the word.
- 10:33–10:37The house of a procurus named Bandura.
- 10:37–10:38Drooping Volva.
- 10:38–10:40Defender of Folly.
- 10:40–10:46It seems you consulted the secret wish of my heart before proposing a courtroom.
- 10:46–10:51I have no taste for touching the queen's drooping breasts.
- 10:51–10:59I. 2. Wish to embrace a courtesan. Can the love god ever dwell in a woman whose breasts
- 10:59–11:07hang down? And furthermore, at the sight of a desirable woman's high breasts.
- 11:07–11:13Rising like inaccessible mountains, the love god tears a young man's heart open with his
- 11:13–11:19sharp arrows. In this battle of love his assault strikes the breasts and brings the
- 11:19–11:27fortress down, but the weak cowardly love God flees the moment the ramparts collapse.
- 11:27–11:34So I firmly believe, shall we go, he sets off happily with the minister.
- 11:34–11:41My lord, the fragrance of camphor, sandalwood, musk, and many kinds of flowers is coming
- 11:41–11:43from this direction.
- 11:43–11:47I therefore suppose this must be drooping vulva's house.
- 11:47–11:50My lord, please come this way.
- 11:50–11:54This is indeed Drooping Volver's house.
- 11:54–11:59By coming here I have gained the merit of a hundred pilgrimages.
- 11:59–12:01Where is Drooping Volver?
- 12:01–12:03The procurus.
- 12:03–12:08Entered Drooping Volver joyfully, accompanied by hundreds of gallants.
- 12:08–12:12Oh, wonderful, wonderful.
- 12:12–12:15Listen, my gallants.
- 12:15–12:22The greatest of rogues, King Ocean of Disorder, has arrived.
- 12:22–12:27Sing songs of spring to the beat of cymbals and drums do not delay.
- 12:27–12:33All the GALLA NTS drawn near and sing joyfully.
- 12:33–12:40Filled with the sweet humming of honey drunk bees, graced by the songs of women with exquisite
- 12:40–12:42voices.
- 12:42–12:48with youths whose hearts have been pierced by the love God, may spring make all this
- 12:48–12:55ay. Season of delight for you. They continue singing and playing the refrain again and again.
- 12:56–13:04Ah, defender of folly, drooping vulva wants something. You are the greatest sinner in the
- 13:04–13:13whole world. Therefore the thunderbolt, sparing everyone else, will strike only your head.
- 13:13–13:17I do not know what will happen, but what should I do now?
- 13:18–13:25You have already displayed your mizzerliness. Perform three fasts at this holy place,
- 13:26–13:34abstaining from every pleasure. There is no need to be afraid. I shall bow merely to deceive
- 13:34–13:43drooping vulva. Mother drooping vulva. I salute you, Mamrie Gunkalica, new moon streak, be
- 13:43–13:51gracious to you. This procurus has asked me for no favor. So I have escaped a mortal
- 13:51–13:59sin. Where is new moon streak? Enter new moon S.T.R.E.K., a wine like body adorned
- 13:59–14:02with splendid ornaments.
- 14:02–14:04Mother, who is this?
- 14:04–14:08Daughter, do you not recognize him?
- 14:08–14:12King Ocean of Disorder has come to meet you.
- 14:12–14:15What act could be more meritorious than this?
- 14:15–14:18Her body is marvellous.
- 14:18–14:21Her face outshines the moon.
- 14:21–14:24Her restless eyes are darkened with coal.
- 14:24–14:28Like a vine she twists her brows to reveal every feeling.
- 14:28–14:34A mark of sandal paste mixed with musk adorns her forehead.
- 14:34–14:40Her lovely lips are red as banduca blossoms at the mere report of such a beautiful vine
- 14:40–14:42like body.
- 14:42–14:45Even gods and sages might be bewitched.
- 14:45–14:50Who would not be enchanted by her nectar-soaked voice?
- 14:50–14:53Such beauty is rare in all three worlds.
- 14:53–14:58And furthermore, her body is a lovely lake.
- 14:58–15:01Her radiant youth is its water.
- 15:01–15:05Her face is a lotus rooted in the mud of musk.
- 15:05–15:09Her restless eyes are lotus stalks.
- 15:09–15:12Her hands move like circling bees.
- 15:12–15:16Her breasts are two rival elephants.
- 15:16–15:19My mind refuses to leave this lake.
- 15:19–15:24Yet how can it refrain from furiously crushing those?
- 15:24–15:25Breast elephants?
- 15:25–15:34such as New Moonstreak's body. Drooping Volva, why do you seem preoccupied? My lord, I am
- 15:34–15:43waiting for a salaried preceptor named Vishwapandha, the universal buffoon, who is coming to teach
- 15:43–15:51the arts of love. He will train New Moonstreak in amorous skill. The universal buffoon is
- 15:51–15:57is also our family priest. A voice from behind the curtain.
- 15:57–16:05He fasts by day but eats fish and meat at night. He wears matted hair like an ascetic.
- 16:05–16:13Yet burns to visit courtesans. Crown jewel of hypocrites. Clad in ochre robes and carrying
- 16:13–16:19a handsome staff. The venerable universal buffoon approaches.
- 16:19–16:25the universal buffoon with his disciple Kala Hanukura, the Sprout of Quarrel.
- 16:25–16:28Ah, what a beautiful spring day!
- 16:28–16:33And furthermore, spring's sweet, fragrant intoxication plunges the lover's heart into
- 16:33–16:34drunkenness.
- 16:34–16:40It is the companion of the love God, brother to all who hunger for fulfillment, a meeting
- 16:40–16:45place where delight, teasing, and bashful feeling gather together.
- 16:45–16:49Turning to his disciple, he declaims,
- 16:49–16:52The sound of bronze cymbals resounds across the whole sky.
- 16:52–16:57The soft yet unbroken beat of the maridana spreads in every direction.
- 16:57–17:03The fragrance of camphor, agarwood, and sandal fills every quarter of the heavens.
- 17:03–17:08Sun, go quickly and discover whose house is celebrating such a festival.
- 17:08–17:14Master, the celebration is taking place at the house of a procurus named Drooping Volva.
- 17:14–17:18Sun, last year the Precurae's Drooping Volva invited us to dine.
- 17:18–17:21This seems an excellent opportunity.
- 17:21–17:26They move on and arrive at Drooping VULV's door.
- 17:26–17:30Preceptor, this seat is broken.
- 17:30–17:33Venerable Sir, please sit upon it.
- 17:33–17:36Mother Drooping Volva, I salute you.
- 17:36–17:42Sun, may you cross the ocean of lust, looking at new moon streak.
- 17:42–17:49If I can seize the great jar like breasts of this doe-eyed girl, then I shall indeed cross the ocean of lust."
- 17:49–17:52She smiles at the universal buffoon.
- 17:52–18:02So this is the universal buffoon, the great preceptor. He has already received the blessing of drooping vulva.
- 18:02–18:10worshipped by the entire community of courtesans. And now he has seated himself beside her to
- 18:10–18:16receive still more blessings. Master, I salute you.
- 18:16–18:21Listen, sprout of quarrel. Quickly pronounce a blessing upon the king.
- 18:21–18:28May menstrual blood flow from your eyes. And furthermore, may your enemies increase. Your
- 18:28–18:30Your fears increase.
- 18:30–18:32Your illnesses increase.
- 18:32–18:34Your debts and sins increase.
- 18:34–18:38May misfortune and stupidity flourish within you.
- 18:38–18:41May these seven kinds of prosperity be yours."
- 18:41–18:48After reciting the blessing, he scatters duroir grass and rice over the king's head.
- 18:48–18:52Master, who is this wicked boy?
- 18:52–18:53Do you not know him?
- 18:53–18:58He is the fire that has reduced his entire lineage to ashes.
- 18:58–19:00The culmination of every dreadful sin.
- 19:00–19:03The accumulated store of all negligence.
- 19:03–19:06He is a hero in plundering wealth.
- 19:06–19:08The embodied form of stupidity.
- 19:08–19:10And cruelty itself.
- 19:10–19:13This is Kallahengkora, the Sprout of Quarrel.
- 19:13–19:15He looks to a drooping vulva.
- 19:15–19:21Sun, Sprout of Quarrel, her hanging breasts are like rain-heavy clouds.
- 19:21–19:24Old age has made her a dwelling place for every disease.
- 19:24–19:26Like a field-laid waste.
- 19:26–19:29She has now surrendered all her treasures.
- 19:29–19:32Like a crane stripped of its leg ornaments.
- 19:32–19:34Like a sky gone dark without stars.
- 19:34–19:37She has lost her former splendor.
- 19:37–19:42Her great age makes people deny that she can still be an object of desire.
- 19:42–19:45Just as the moon's face disappears from sight.
- 19:45–19:46This is Drooping Volva.
- 19:46–19:50The sight of her now recalls an unwelcome cloud drifting overhead.
- 19:50–19:54Sun, go and salute the venerable Drooping Volva.
- 19:54–20:02Ah, great preceptor, what a wonder! Drooping Volva has a beard beneath her face. And furthermore,
- 20:02–20:07terrified by the devastation of old age, her Volva has shriveled up.
- 20:07–20:15This celibate student is thoroughly corrupt. He truly deserves the name Kala Hancura,
- 20:15–20:17Sprout of Quarrel.
- 20:17–20:23Astonishing, how intense are this young woman's erotic gestures? Unrestrained and acting entirely at
- 20:23–20:30will. She looks and smiles. After a leisurely pause she stops and yawns. Making her whole body
- 20:30–20:36tremble. She prolongs the moment of delight. While the cloth covering her breast slips loose on
- 20:36–20:42every side. Letting down and loosening her hair. Embracing her companion, and demanding an
- 20:42–20:48answer before she has even asked a question, who is this marvelous? Restless-eyed woman
- 20:48–20:54who shines supreme in the play of love, and furthermore, her eyes dart like wagtails. Her
- 20:54–21:01face is lovely as a golden lotus. Her breasts are full, high, and always trembling. Her waist
- 21:01–21:06is slender and her hips are broad and heavy. If Lord Shiva, the Great Aesthetic, were
- 21:06–21:13to see New Moonstreak even once. Would he too not be wounded by the Love God's arrow?
- 21:13–21:20Preceptor, my daughter New Moonstreak is now fully prepared to receive instruction in the
- 21:20–21:25arts of love. At present my school, too, is without a pupil.
- 21:25–21:31Mother, his nails and teeth are worn out like those of an old tiger. Age has reduced him
- 21:31–21:38to skin and bone. Yet day and night this shameless universal buffoon laughs at me and mocks me."
- 21:38–21:45Lo Cortizan, thief of other people's sons and wealth, do not look at my guru and imagine
- 21:45–21:51that he has fallen into bad company. Though his wife has constant intercourse with him,
- 21:51–21:56she still wanders in search of some great master of the arts of love so that her knowledge
- 21:56–22:04May. Increase. Such is her wifely devotion that. Dressed as a widow, she would follow the
- 22:04–22:10universal buffoon to the funeral pyre and pretend to burn herself. And you still dare
- 22:10–22:17call my guru old. More than that, my guru even now removes the cloth that covers his modesty
- 22:17–22:23and sleeps in his mother's lap. And you call such a guru shameless?
- 22:23–22:29Blessed is that Brahmin wife, blessed is this Brahmin disciple, and blessed indeed is the
- 22:29–22:30Preceptor.
- 22:30–22:34Daughter, do not speak so wickedly.
- 22:34–22:38You do not yet know the Preceptor properly.
- 22:38–22:44The universal buffoon may be old and the teacher of every scoundrel.
- 22:44–22:49Yet like the sun he can spread the light of love and make the lotus bloom.
- 22:49–22:51Ah, what a wonder!
- 22:51–22:56The white hair upon drooping Volva's head and her pale eyebrows bloom fully like Cauchy
- 22:56–22:58flowers.
- 22:58–23:01Age has weakened the body that once was love's dwelling.
- 23:01–23:03And her breasts have withered and sagged.
- 23:03–23:09Yet even after all these changes, the sound of her voice still awakens desire.
- 23:09–23:13If desire survives all this, where could it ever disappear?
- 23:13–23:17Drooping Volva, do you seem to be trembling a little from old age?
- 23:17–23:19It is true.
- 23:19–23:27the gallants who were once devoted to me, and recalling their virtues. I am now suffering
- 23:27–23:34from the fever of love. Your Majesty, drooping vulva has caught love fever.
- 23:34–23:42Then why do you not summon the great physician Vyadasindu? Ocean of disease. Son of Atchurantaka.
- 23:42–23:47Death of patience. Do you not know the son of death of patience?
- 23:47–23:49Have you heard nothing of his virtues?
- 23:49–23:55Are you unaware of the courteous treatment notion of disease gives his patients?
- 23:55–24:02If there is stabbing pain in the stomach, apply a red hot rod to the eyes.
- 24:02–24:09If the feet are swollen, bore holes through the palms if there is a stone in the bladder,
- 24:09–24:16operate inside the nose with a sharp knife, for gout and disorders of wind, make the
- 24:16–24:24patient drink boiling oil. For heart disease, place the patient's testicles between two
- 24:24–24:32rods and crush them hard. After receiving such delightful treatment, what patient would not
- 24:32–24:39proceed toward the cremation ground? And furthermore, make a coughing patient inhale the smoke
- 24:39–24:48of burning chaff. If too much wind fills the belly, force him to labour, give him a purgative,
- 24:48–24:56and make him fast if digestion is weak. Feed him minced meat with his meal. If he suffers
- 24:56–25:04from asthma, make him drink water without pause. If he has a disorder of bile, feed
- 25:04–25:13him dried ginger, picar leaves, and pepper broth, if a bodily humour causes fever.
- 25:13–25:15Bathe him in a tub.
- 25:15–25:20How can one adequately praise the virtues of ocean of disease?
- 25:20–25:22The great physician.
- 25:22–25:28It is impossible for a single mouth to recite the full catalogue of his merits.
- 25:28–25:31A voice from behind the garden.
- 25:31–25:38The royal physician who kills every patient, Ocean of Disease, is coming onto the stage.
- 25:38–25:44The flesh of his legs is badly rotten and covered with round boils.
- 25:44–25:51Again and again he uses the hem of his garment to dry flies from his oozing sores.
- 25:51–25:55The violence of his cough resounds on every side.
- 25:55–25:57Even through the heavens.
- 25:57–25:59Enter Ocean of Disease.
- 25:59–26:03He circles slowly and speaks with immense pride.
- 26:03–26:09As a physician, I contain every disease in perfect form.
- 26:09–26:13My ill fame and disgrace are my glory.
- 26:13–26:20Once I have treated him, even the immortal Markandey cannot remain alive for long.
- 26:20–26:26And furthermore, a patient needs neither medicine nor treatment.
- 26:26–26:30One glimpse of me is enough to kill him.
- 26:30–26:33Great Preceptor, I salute you.
- 26:33–26:36Sprout of Quarrel, bless the royal physician.
- 26:36–26:39May you live forever with your enemies.
- 26:39–26:41May your life be short.
- 26:41–26:45May you not survive even two more auspicious moments.
- 26:45–26:48May a sharp thorn lodge in your heart.
- 26:48–26:50May a serpent bite your neck.
- 26:50–26:55And for crimes committed by others may the king punish you by beheading.
- 26:55–26:57May you always worry about food.
- 26:57–26:59And may your house burn forever.
- 26:59–27:03Wicked boy, are you mocking me?
- 27:03–27:08Ocean of disease is your dead father, death of patience, keeping well?
- 27:08–27:11How could he be well without seeing you?
- 27:11–27:16Who in this entire world could see her breasts?
- 27:16–27:21Like golden jars, without a heart overflowing with desire?
- 27:21–27:27physician I wish to consult you on a medical matter is a physician to be
- 27:27–27:32consulted only after the family has gathered rice and sesame for the
- 27:32–27:41funeral offering selected a fine axe for preparing the pire and every relative
- 27:41–27:46has abandoned all attachment to the patient you are a great physician indeed
- 27:46–27:52Great Physician, drooping vulva is suffering from phlegm after excessive indulgence in love.
- 27:52–27:54You must prescribe her treatment.
- 27:54–28:01Why was the preparation of scalding oil not poured into her anus at once?
- 28:01–28:05Do not delay the procedure any longer.
- 28:05–28:09This physician has no sense at all.
- 28:09–28:15My lord, by great good fortune I have found the finest physician.
- 28:15–28:21Ah, one must attend to a thousand things. I have forgotten the question. Sun sprout of
- 28:21–28:25coral, remind me what we ask the physician.
- 28:25–28:30Great physician! New moon streak has developed an itch from applying too much vermilion
- 28:30–28:35and musk. Please tell us what should be done to cure this ailment.
- 28:35–28:43The disciple is just like his guru. A dog belongs on an ash heap, meeks an ointment
- 28:43–28:52of water hyacinth with finely powdered scorpions and thorns, and smear it over new moon streaks
- 28:52–28:57entire body. The itch will disappear at once.
- 28:57–28:59An excellent medicine.
- 28:59–29:06Yes. Now I remember. Great physician. Drooping Volva has developed a headache from the pleasures
- 29:06–29:10of love battle. What should be done for that?
- 29:10–29:17physician. I have long known of your learning. Please prescribe a medicine for my phlegm."
- 29:17–29:27He. He. Why did you not say that you had phlegm? Long ago, a certain ruling king developed
- 29:27–29:36phlegm because of an excess disorder of wind. At that time my father, a Turantica, death
- 29:36–29:46of patients who was authoritative in the Ayurvedic works of Charaka. Sushruta, Vagbhata, and
- 29:46–29:53Nagarjuna cured the king's flame by cleansing his eyes with black salt and fastening a hundred
- 29:53–30:00leeches upon them. What is the treatment for my illness?
- 30:00–30:06If a minor remedy will do, wipe prescribe a major one.
- 30:06–30:13Your phlegm will be destroyed if you place wasps, leeches, and scorpions inside your
- 30:13–30:16nose and eyes.
- 30:16–30:19You truly are the son of death of patience.
- 30:19–30:23A commotion is heard behind the curtain.
- 30:23–30:28Gatekeeper, find out at once who has come to see me.
- 30:28–30:30Bring the visitor here quickly.
- 30:30–30:39As my lord commands, great king, Raktakalola, wave of blood, a barber, is dragging in a bleeding
- 30:39–30:42citizen by his clothes.
- 30:42–30:45Tell him to enter and present himself.
- 30:45–30:50Great king, I present before you this barber named Raktakalola.
- 30:50–30:55Enter wave of blood, gripping the clothes of a bleeding citizen.
- 30:55–30:59He circles the stage and speaks in Sanskrit.
- 30:59–31:08The moment I take razor in hand and prepare to scrape, a man abandons every hope of life.
- 31:08–31:15Whenever I set to work as a barber, my heart grows eager to see streams of blood flowing
- 31:15–31:18from the human body.
- 31:18–31:25And furthermore, when a man's hands, feet, and neck have been bound and he screams in
- 31:25–31:32dreadful pain, the moment I begin to cut his nails he gives up every hope even of being
- 31:32–31:35born again.
- 31:35–31:38Looking around the assembly, he offers a mirror.
- 31:38–31:43Drooping Volva, you should take the mirror first.
- 31:43–31:44Great King.
- 31:44–31:48I have contracted the eye disease called cataract.
- 31:48–31:53I cannot see the reflection of my face in the mirror at all.
- 31:53–31:57Let your majesty take it first.
- 31:57–31:59Ocean of disease.
- 31:59–32:05Even in your presence this procurous drooping vulva has developed the eye disease called
- 32:05–32:06cataract.
- 32:06–32:12Why not hold an iron rod heated in the fire firmly and steadily?
- 32:12–32:20and press it against the pupil? When no eye remains, how can the disease called cataract
- 32:20–32:21survive?
- 32:21–32:28Should not the physician first test the remedy by applying the red hot rod to his own eyes?
- 32:28–32:33This cortisand marks me. There is no point remaining here.
- 32:33–32:39Oh, old age has come upon me. My hair has turned white. My teeth are rotting and falling
- 32:39–32:45out. My body has grown old and weak. Cataracts cloud my eyes. My ears can no longer hear
- 32:45–32:52a sound. And the flesh of my body hangs loose. All this is the work of age. Yet even in this
- 32:52–32:57condition my restless heart is forever eager to embrace a fair courtesan. The sport of
- 32:57–33:00God seems very strange to me.
- 33:00–33:06Barba, if you have something to say about this matter, say it now.
- 33:06–33:13Great King, I have a dispute with this man who is writhing in pain.
- 33:13–33:18Minister, consider how justice should be given between these two men.
- 33:18–33:22Baba, tell me, who first saw this blood?
- 33:22–33:24I saw it first.
- 33:24–33:29What do you mean? You first saw the blood flowing from my body.
- 33:29–33:34Baba, how did you come to see it first?
- 33:34–33:39This admirable minister is as distinguished as the king.
- 33:39–33:45Great king, I was holding this man's finger in order to cut his nail.
- 33:45–33:50At that very moment he covered his eye with the finger.
- 33:50–33:54My instrument therefore entered his eye and broke.
- 33:54–33:57That is why he began to bleed.
- 33:57–33:59He has spoken correctly.
- 33:59–34:06Citizen, you must pay the Baba the price of His broken nail cutting instrument.
- 34:06–34:10The minister is every bit as distinguished as the king.
- 34:10–34:18Great King, a Brahman named Mityarnava, Ocean of Falsehood, wishes to see you.
- 34:18–34:19Let him come in.
- 34:19–34:22Enter. Enter Ocean of Falsehood.
- 34:22–34:28Great Preceptor, a relative by marriage is staying with me.
- 34:28–34:35A Brahmin has died in his house. This Brahmin had studied all four Vedas,
- 34:35–34:40observed the rules of celibacy with exceptional strictness,
- 34:40–34:42bathed once a year,
- 34:42–34:46and suffered many wounds from the kick of a fly's foot,
- 34:46–34:49grieved by the Brahmin's death.
- 34:49–34:56I went in search of a learned authority on scripture and found you in a procurus's house.
- 34:56–35:01Please tell me what penance we should perform to atone for this sin.
- 35:01–35:08If the Brahmin is truly dead, his wife or son should drink extremely hot water mixed with cow dung.
- 35:08–35:11In that way they too will attain the road to heaven.
- 35:11–35:15He did not die from the kick of a fly's foot.
- 35:15–35:20The townspeople beat him to death for committing adultery with a washerwoman.
- 35:20–35:23Then everyone has been freed from the stain of sin.
- 35:23–35:30of sin. Purify the washerwoman, who is tainted with the sin of killing a Brahmin. By ritual,
- 35:30–35:34and bring her home again. Your learning is admirable.
- 35:34–35:36Looking at new moon streak
- 35:36–35:42Who is the man who went to the bank of the Ganges and worshipped Lord Shiva with lotus
- 35:42–35:50flowers? Who is the man who worshipped with total devotion the love God? Enemy of the
- 35:50–35:56demon Shambhara, and who is the man who knowingly and selflessly gives up his life, where the
- 35:56–36:04Ganges meets the sea. In the same way I ask, who is the fortunate man whose lap will be
- 36:04–36:08adorned? Even for a few moments.
- 36:08–36:16By new moon streak. In Shantris of the world. I came here to embrace a courtesan, but
- 36:16–36:24many wicked men have already gathered. When leeches cling to the bodies of other leeches,
- 36:24–36:31there is no point remaining here." Why has the magistrate Saduhim Saka, tormenter
- 36:31–36:38of the virtuous, not yet arrived, entered tormenter of the virtuous in a cheerful mood?
- 36:38–36:44An armed thief has thrown the whole city into turmoil. That is why I have come. In
- 36:44–36:48the greatest delight to visit a courtesan.
- 36:48–36:54Minister, this thief has spread terrible fear. What is to be done?
- 36:54–37:02Great King! First the army must be properly equipped, then I must be protected. After
- 37:02–37:09that the Queen. And finally the Royal Palace. Speaking in distress.
- 37:09–37:14Inside the palace one may catch a glimpse of the moon.
- 37:14–37:21When I am with the queen, I lie awake all night for fear that the crumbling walls will fall.
- 37:21–37:25A snake must always keep its poison ready.
- 37:25–37:31For the frog croaks throughout the night and lives in fear that the snake will seize it.
- 37:31–37:37Therefore, the palace must be protected from the thief before anything else.
- 37:37–37:41Ah! I wish to know how the queen is now.
- 37:41–37:46Supreme Minister, tell me something more about the queen.
- 37:46–37:51For whose sake the king appears so sorrowful and anxious?
- 37:51–37:55Would a man not need a thousand mouths,
- 37:55–38:00like the serpent Adisheshah, to describe the queen's virtues?
- 38:00–38:06Even so, tell me something. I long to hear of her qualities.
- 38:06–38:14Since you insist, I shall describe them briefly. The Queen's face is dark as a moonless night.
- 38:15–38:24She is fair as lamp-black. Her beautiful eyes resemble a cat's. Her waist is like an enormous
- 38:24–38:31water jar, and her high breasts hang below her navel. These virtues make the Queen the
- 38:31–38:35the enchantress of the entire world.
- 38:35–38:43Friend, the king is foremost among learned men, but you are the crown jewel of all poets.
- 38:43–38:50Great King, if fear of the thief has spread so widely, why not summon the commander Rana
- 38:50–38:52Jambuka?
- 38:52–38:54The Jackal of War.
- 38:54–38:56Enter Jackal of War.
- 38:56–38:59He circles the stage and speaks proudly.
- 38:59–39:03Great King, hear the account of my heroic exploit.
- 39:03–39:04Tell us!
- 39:04–39:09Great King, today I saw a bee-drinking nectar from a red flower.
- 39:09–39:10And then?
- 39:10–39:16At once I put on my armor, took up my weapons, and with four soldiers bound the bee in a
- 39:16–39:20thick leather rope and dragged it toward me.
- 39:20–39:21And then?
- 39:21–39:26Then with my sharp sword I split the bee open like a hollow leather pouch.
- 39:26–39:29No doubt remains about your valour.
- 39:29–39:37possess the strength of 10,000 elephants. Commander, the hour has come to fight wicked men.
- 39:37–39:42How eager are you for battle? During intercourse, if I mistake the red
- 39:42–39:48lac on my wife's feet for blood, I faint and fall, even when the whole earth is covered
- 39:48–39:54by the darkness of the new moon night. I lose consciousness. Tell me, then, what will
- 39:54–39:59become of me if I see soldiers drenched in blood upon the battlefield."
- 39:59–40:01She laughs loudly.
- 40:01–40:07Oh, wicked courtesan, you mock me, why do you not fight me this instant?
- 40:07–40:15Great King, an astrologer named Mahayatrika, prophet of the final journey, is at the door.
- 40:15–40:16Let him enter.
- 40:16–40:20The gatekeeper speaks and exits.
- 40:20–40:25offering, opening his almanac, turning southward, and reading.
- 40:25–40:33May the sun occupy your birth sign and destroy your position. May Jupiter remain in your
- 40:33–40:41horoscope and increase your fears. May Saturn dwell in the eighth house and multiply your
- 40:41–40:51pain and disease. May Mars also occupy the 8th house. Kill your entire family and strike
- 40:51–41:01you with weapons. Then May mighty Rahu. Together with the sun in your 12th house. Destroy your
- 41:01–41:10wealth with these powerful planets so placed. Even the otherwise favourable influence of
- 41:10–41:17the moon. Venus and Mercury will scarcely bear fruit.
- 41:17–41:24You have heard the blessing. At this moment the Great King wishes to go to war. Calculate
- 41:24–41:31an auspicious hour for his great journey. The Great King's great journey will take
- 41:31–41:40place at dawn on a Saturday, on the full moon day of the month of Shrivana, under the sign
- 41:40–41:42of Scorpio.
- 41:42–41:44Then he will certainly die.
- 41:44–41:50He will carry away with him the demon of his subjects misfortune.
- 41:50–41:54Looking east and west, the orb of the sun is sinking.
- 41:54–41:59While the orb of the moon swells as it rises, the reddened eyes of the angry love god
- 41:59–42:05imitate the two glowing orbs. Because the people have been kept apart from their wives.
- 42:05–42:12Looking lovingly at new moon street. Sprout of quarrel, my son, evening has come,
- 42:12–42:16go to new moon streak and whisper in her ear that I wish to spend the evening with her
- 42:16–42:17in private.
- 42:17–42:18Meditation
- 42:18–42:24This guru of mine is thoroughly wicked. He wants to make love with the girl. And
- 42:24–42:31And furthermore, every day I have diligently served my revered guru, and what have I gained?
- 42:31–42:36Every day I have worshipped the sun, and what benefit has it brought?
- 42:36–42:41I have studied the Vedas with severe discipline, and what profit is there in that?
- 42:41–42:45Even if I attain heaven, what use will it be?
- 42:45–42:51All of it is fruitless unless I can passionately embrace new moon streaks high, picture-like
- 42:51–42:57breasts and quench the fire of love with sweat. There is no point delaying. Why should I not
- 42:57–43:04clasp her tightly and kiss her face? New moon streak. I have something to tell you.
- 43:04–43:06Say it. If it is proper.
- 43:06–43:08In some script.
- 43:08–43:14Youth is fleeting. It lasts only 10 or 15 days. Hi.
- 43:14–43:21Firm breasts droop and hang with age and can never rise again. Moon faced new moon streak.
- 43:21–43:23Life offers no certainty.
- 43:23–43:27No one knows how long it will last knowing all this.
- 43:27–43:33When a young woman rejects a youth who longs for love, her firm breasts pierce his heart
- 43:33–43:34like thorns.
- 43:34–43:36She smiles faintly.
- 43:36–43:38New moon streak.
- 43:38–43:40I must tell you a secret.
- 43:40–43:41Please listen.
- 43:41–43:46Even the gods cannot have drunk the nectar of New Moon Streak's lips.
- 43:46–43:47No wonder.
- 43:47–43:53Then, that the gods were joyfully content with the moon-like nectar that fell from Rahu's mouth.
- 43:53–43:58Wicked boy! You must perform penance for embracing and kissing new moon streak.
- 43:58–44:01Whom I desired from the beginning.
- 44:01–44:07You must perform the penance. Because you desire a woman whom your disciple has already embraced.
- 44:07–44:13That limb of yours whose name is also used for an elephant's trunk, your hand, must be cut off.
- 44:13–44:17because you touched the young woman desired by your guru.
- 44:17–44:19Since you call new moon streak,
- 44:19–44:22already kissed by your disciple,
- 44:22–44:24the woman you desire,
- 44:24–44:29the limb with which you would adorn a beautiful woman's waist deserves to be cut off.
- 44:29–44:32Those teeth of yours, hidden behind your lips,
- 44:32–44:37must be torn out, because you wounded new moon streak's lips with them.
- 44:37–44:42Your linga, the word formed by placing a vowel before the root,
- 44:42–44:45Liji deserves to be torn out.
- 44:45–44:49Because with that organ you would torment the young woman whom your disciple has already
- 44:49–44:50kissed.
- 44:50–44:55Thus the two dance in quarrel while everyone present laughs.
- 44:55–44:59Abad speaks from behind the curtain.
- 44:59–45:02The eyes of a bold and experienced woman.
- 45:02–45:03Tightly embraced.
- 45:03–45:08Dart with anticipation of the supreme delight of love-making.
- 45:08–45:11The troubled eyes of an innocent.
- 45:11–45:15An inexperienced woman reveal her fear of defeat in love's battle.
- 45:15–45:20A woman whose husband has gone on a journey watches the fierce sun sink behind the mountain
- 45:20–45:25with tearful eyes and loneliness in her heart.
- 45:25–45:27These women share no blood.
- 45:27–45:30Yet all gaze upon the setting sun in pain.
- 45:30–45:36And furthermore, as the sun god sets in the west, the moon's rays now scorch the
- 45:36–45:39lotuses and make them wither.
- 45:39–45:43With night approaching, great black bees abandon the flowers.
- 45:43–45:49While the setting sun deprives them of light, they are like women tormented by the thought
- 45:49–45:51of husbands departing on journeys.
- 45:51–45:54A second bod sings.
- 45:54–45:56Where has the sun's orb gone?
- 45:56–45:58Visible only a moment ago.
- 45:58–46:02Where have the calls of the Chakravaka birds gone?
- 46:02–46:04Audible only a moment ago.
- 46:04–46:07Where have the male and female swans gone?
- 46:07–46:14who only a moment ago cast off shame and joined in love play. The moon has risen,
- 46:14–46:19reddened by the rays of the setting sun. Like the angry face of a woman who has discovered
- 46:19–46:26that her husband is attached to another, hearing the bees sing. Clusters of lotuses awaken
- 46:26–46:31and seem to laugh as they display their joy. And furthermore, at the sight of the rising
- 46:31–46:38moon's disk. The heart wonders, is this truly a beautiful bowl from which the dwellers in
- 46:38–46:45heaven drink nectar? Is it a ball with which rutty? Wife of the love-god. Plays. Or is
- 46:45–46:51it a heap of foam from the Ganges? Is it King Love's parasol? Or is it the vast treasury
- 46:51–46:59of fame? Evening has come. Why do you not go and complete your daily observances? What
- 46:59–47:07good will come from completing them. I am worried by the trouble caused by the thief. Still,
- 47:07–47:15I shall go. But wait a moment. Look at the hostility between the preceptor and his disciple."
- 47:15–47:23He takes up his staff and runs forward angrily. He shrieks and shakes his whole body. The
- 47:23–47:28The two sees new moon S.T.R.E.A.K.'s clothing.
- 47:28–47:31Dancing was this struggle and shouting,
- 47:31–47:34She is mine, she is mine.
- 47:34–47:35Single quote.
- 47:35–47:37My lord,
- 47:37–47:38Preceptor,
- 47:38–47:42Please end this quarrel for today.
- 47:42–47:44Night has fallen.
- 47:44–47:48Tomorrow morning a preceptor named Madananda Mishra,
- 47:48–47:52Mishra blinded by lust, will come to,
- 47:52–47:59new moon streak. Both of you must obey whatever decision he gives.
- 47:59–48:00So be it.
- 48:00–48:07All exit. Thus ends Act One of the Fast, the Ocean of Laughter. By the judgment of the
- 48:07–48:10Assembly and the Council.
- 48:10–48:16The following morning, enter the universal buffoon and sprout of Quarrel.
- 48:16–48:21Ah, in the East, the sun's rays appear red as vermilion in the parting of a woman's
- 48:21–48:22hair.
- 48:22–48:28a husband has spent the entire night in love play with his mistress. He stands before his
- 48:28–48:34wife at sunrise and she glares at him with blood red. Furious eyes. Just so, the red
- 48:34–48:39lotuses of the pond look redder still in the crimson morning light. Because the sun
- 48:39–48:44spent the whole night in some other region of the earth. And furthermore, the morning
- 48:44–48:49breeze gives the heart great joy, for it carries the pleasing fragrance of day-blooming
- 48:49–48:55lotuses. It also bears the sweet scent of musk and vermilion, washed into streaks of red
- 48:55–48:59and black by the sweat of women exhausted from love play.
- 48:59–49:06Where are drooping vulva and new moon streak? Enter drooping vulva and new moon streak.
- 49:06–49:12Looking at new moon streak. If new moon streak, whose face is like the autumn moon? Casts
- 49:12–49:19one restless glance at me. Who will notice the blue lotus adorning her ear? And furthermore,
- 49:19–49:23Even Lord Shiva would find it difficult to resist new moon streaks' sleepy eyes and their
- 49:23–49:25darting.
- 49:25–49:26Side long glances.
- 49:26–49:33Drooping Volva, has Madananda Mishra, Mishra blinded by lust, still not arrived.
- 49:33–49:36A voice from behind the curtain.
- 49:36–49:41His sacred thread has been reddened by the fragrant cosmetics of Kurtisans.
- 49:41–49:45His eyes have grown red from drinking cannabis liquor.
- 49:45–49:48His whole forehead is smeared with sandal paste.
- 49:48–49:53and he has completely abandoned every act of worship and religious observance.
- 49:53–49:58The embodied form of such virtues is approaching in person.
- 49:58–50:05Madhananda Mishra, blinded by lust, is seen entering with his disciple Kulala, the wild
- 50:05–50:06hawk.
- 50:06–50:07Look!
- 50:07–50:13Hearing bees hum around the mango trees in the sweet sounds of cranes and cuckoos.
- 50:13–50:20This spring resounds with the hot size of beautiful women separated from their lovers.
- 50:20–50:26And furthermore, touched by cool droplets splashed from the hands of women playing in the waters
- 50:26–50:27of the Cauvery.
- 50:27–50:34Filled with the fragrance of pale sandalwood and awakening the excitement of love, the
- 50:34–50:38southern wind gently stirs clusters of new mango shoots.
- 50:38–50:42At the touch of fully opened wine flowers.
- 50:42–50:44It seems a little frightened.
- 50:44–50:48As though it had come into contact with a menstruating woman.
- 50:48–50:52How shall I pass this spring without a quarter-zan?
- 50:52–50:57Wild cock, my son, look, it is already noon.
- 50:57–51:00The sun god heats the earth with his rays.
- 51:00–51:05All the birds have taken shelter in wine-covered boughs.
- 51:05–51:08Swans have settled motionless beneath radiant.
- 51:08–51:10Fully opened lotuses.
- 51:10–51:16theory, sorrowing travelers, their hearts burning with the fierce pain of long separation from
- 51:16–51:24their wives. Sit beneath the shade of leafless trees, sighing without pause as they write.
- 51:24–51:31Good sir, a procurus named Drooping Vulva lives in this city. It is said that she receives
- 51:31–51:35guests exceptionally well. We should dine at her house.
- 51:35–51:37Is she of high birth?
- 51:37–51:39What doubt can there be?
- 51:39–51:43Even a man of the lowest caste drinks water in her house.
- 51:43–51:45Then come, son.
- 51:45–51:50The two turn toward drooping VULV's house.
- 51:50–51:51Before they can enter.
- 51:51–51:56Blinded by lust, please sit upon this beautiful seat.
- 51:56–52:03Is it not astonishing that New Moon Streak, Jewel among women, stands before me?
- 52:03–52:05Between folds of red clothing.
- 52:05–52:11New Moon Streaks breast gleams in the curve of a rising half moon.
- 52:11–52:16Like a bright fragment of moon emerging over the eastern mountain, she arches her brows
- 52:16–52:23and casts a lustful, restless glance, creating the illusion of a bee tugging at the petal
- 52:23–52:26of a great ketaki flower.
- 52:26–52:32What man could see such a sight without agitation, without being compelled to look at her?
- 52:32–52:38And furthermore, new moon-streaks body is a splendid forest her high breasts rise like
- 52:38–52:41inaccessible mountains.
- 52:41–52:44The region of her navel lies deep below.
- 52:44–52:50Her trembling, quivering arms possess the beauty of a swarm of lovely bees.
- 52:50–52:55Seeing all these signs, the heart grows a little afraid that the love-god himself has
- 52:55–53:02become a hunter and is striking with the sharp arrows of her restless glances.
- 53:02–53:07My dear like heart, tell me, where will you find refuge?
- 53:07–53:11How can I deceive sprout of queral in the universal buffoon?
- 53:11–53:17Very well, I shall pretend to be a follower of the Vavishnava sect and trick them.
- 53:17–53:21Tum, you must forever repeat the name of Vishnu.
- 53:21–53:27Eyes, the Lord pervades the entire universe, you must see in that manner.
- 53:27–53:31Ears, you must forever hear the glory of God.
- 53:31–53:38Heart, you must hold with absolute firmness that Lord Narayana alone is the refuge of all.
- 53:38–53:43Ah, by uttering God's name I have committed a mortal sin.
- 53:43–53:46What must I do to atone for it?
- 53:46–53:51Blinded by lust is a rogue, trying to deceive us in the name of the Vaishnava sect.
- 53:51–53:55Very well, I shall show him something in return.
- 53:55–54:00I forever meditate in my heart upon Lord Krishna, crown jewel of the three worlds.
- 54:00–54:03Whose form is like blue sapphire?
- 54:03–54:08Who, like a bee, forever hovers about the lotus face of the goddess Lakshmi?
- 54:08–54:13Whose dark color is like the smoke that draws tears from the eyes of demons' wives?
- 54:13–54:19Wild cock, my son, now expound the doctrine of the Vavishnava sect.
- 54:19–54:29As my master commands. In the age of Kali, human life is naturally short. On top of that,
- 54:29–54:35wicked men force others to fast and practice various bodily austerities, thereby destroying
- 54:35–54:41the body. The wise understand the futility of physical torment and prefer religion and
- 54:41–54:47mode of worship that includes a life of sensual enjoyment and the pleasures found at a court
- 54:47–54:53to Zen's door. Sprout of quarrel, my son, expound the Vaishnava doctrine.
- 54:53–55:01If for fear of the contempt of fools a man observes a fast despite terrible suffering and endures
- 55:01–55:07inward agony from fear of the death that may come in the night. Nevertheless, in order
- 55:07–55:14to remain alive, he must first rise and eat in the morning. Thus the true danger is that
- 55:14–55:20life itself may end through remaining hungry and fasting. If death is the result, how can
- 55:20–55:27complete liberation be attained? And furthermore, the face of any priest who declares that painful
- 55:27–55:34fasting earns merit should be smeared with ashes. Supreme liberation is possible only
- 55:34–55:40when the incomparable Lord Shiva is pleased by offerings of meat, fish, and women.
- 55:40–55:43This preceptor is extremely clever.
- 55:43–55:45He cannot be deceived.
- 55:45–55:49It is useless to bait an old cat with sour rice.
- 55:49–55:50Very well.
- 55:50–55:53I shall trick him by displaying humility.
- 55:53–55:55Master, I salute you.
- 55:55–56:02Friend, may you live long, but when a woman such as Drooping Volva, who has served multitudes,
- 56:02–56:07is present, it is not proper for a man like you to salute me first.
- 56:07–56:11Oh, I must took you for drooping valvour and saluted you.
- 56:11–56:17He truly is blinded by lust that is why he mistook a man for drooping valvour, the Precurus.
- 56:17–56:22Drooping valvour, I offer you my respectful salutation.
- 56:22–56:27Daughter, raise him up and pronounce a blessing upon him.
- 56:27–56:33May Gowri, the consort and other half of Lord Shiva, be gracious to you.
- 56:33–56:39Having said this, New Moon Streak lowers her eyes in embarrassment.
- 56:39–56:50Ah! The sight of New Moon Streak leaves me astonished. The two feet of doe-eyed New Moon Streak can barely support the weight of her immense hips.
- 56:50–56:58How can her incomparable waist bear the weight of her two high breasts? Which resemble the temples of an elephant?
- 56:58–57:07Excellent Brahmin! I inform you that today a fire sacrifice to the love god is being held in my house.
- 57:07–57:11Please act as priest and bring it to completion.
- 57:11–57:17The hollow between doe-eyed new moon-streaks thighs will serve as the sacrificial altar.
- 57:17–57:25Her vulva between those thighs, the place desired by men of pleasure, will be the fire pit.
- 57:25–57:28Her breasts will serve as the sacrificial fruit.
- 57:28–57:33The fiercely burning fire of desire will be the ritual flame.
- 57:33–57:35I shall be the priest.
- 57:35–57:39And my semen the offering poured into the sacrifice.
- 57:39–57:42While my penance will be the sacrificial ladle.
- 57:42–57:44The SPHYA.
- 57:44–57:49With all these materials ready to grant immediate satisfaction.
- 57:49–57:53What man would refuse to perform such an erotic vignyotra?
- 57:53–58:00Drooping vulva, old age has weakened your body, making you unable to carry out your duty.
- 58:00–58:06You should therefore appoint your daughter to gather the materials for the sacrifice.
- 58:06–58:10Daughter, follow the venerable Brahmin's wishes.
- 58:10–58:14New moon streak goes inside the house.
- 58:14–58:18First settle the quarrel between my guru and me.
- 58:18–58:24son, wait a little, until the sacrifice has been completed.
- 58:24–58:31Blinded by lust enters the house, has vigorous intercourse with new moon streak, and speaks
- 58:31–58:33in delight.
- 58:33–58:35Her breasts are crushed by the embrace.
- 58:35–58:39Her face is wet with sweat from excessive exertion.
- 58:39–58:44Closing her eyes after a kiss, she utteres sounds of pleasure.
- 58:44–58:49Her brows are lovely and her side long glances restless.
- 58:49–58:55The delight of such a cortisan, praised through the smooth speech of deceivers, can be enjoyed
- 58:55–59:02only by a man who has accumulated every kind of merit for a hundred years.
- 59:02–59:08Looking at New Moon S.T.R.E.A.K. aside, the call has been washed from New Moon Streak's
- 59:08–59:11two beautiful eyes.
- 59:11–59:16In the redness from her lips, the knot of hair upon her head has loosened, and the sandal
- 59:16–59:20paste has been wiped from her body by the sweat of love play.
- 59:20–59:26Her thighs no longer tremble, her hands have gone slack, and her chest heaves again and
- 59:26–59:27again.
- 59:27–59:31From all these signs it is certain that she is coming this way after intercourse.
- 59:31–59:36Good sirs, one man has completed the sacrifice.
- 59:36–59:41his left eye, he gestures for the disciple to stop.
- 59:41–59:44What will you gain by stopping me?
- 59:44–59:48One man's accumulated merit cannot purify another, can it?
- 59:48–59:51Son, wait a moment.
- 59:51–59:56Great-blinded by lust, I now understand how your sacrifice was completed.
- 59:56–1:00:00Even so, you must judge the dispute between the two of us.
- 1:00:00–1:00:03Arrange matters so that I may marry New Moonstreak.
- 1:00:03–1:00:06The two of us shall marry her.
- 1:00:06–1:00:08What harm is there in that?
- 1:00:08–1:00:14Consider, in this world Kunti, daughter of King Boja, and Madri were married to six lords,
- 1:00:14–1:00:21Dharma, Vayu, Indra, the two Ashvan twins, and Pandu, yet they were still called faithful
- 1:00:21–1:00:22wives.
- 1:00:22–1:00:26Draupadi, too, was wife to all five Pandavas.
- 1:00:26–1:00:32Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva, it is therefore clear that a woman
- 1:00:32–1:00:36commits no sin by marrying several men.
- 1:00:36–1:00:41These two wicked men have joined forces. I should now make an alliance with Sprout of
- 1:00:41–1:00:42Quarrel.
- 1:00:42–1:00:49Friend. Look. These two men have become allies and will both marry New Moonstreak. Why should
- 1:00:49–1:00:52the two of us not marry Drooping Vulva?
- 1:00:52–1:00:59Friend. I do not think you have spoken wisely. We have no experience of intercourse with
- 1:00:59–1:01:00an old woman.
- 1:01:00–1:01:06Besides, it is painful that these two old men will marry New Moonstreak.
- 1:01:06–1:01:13In Chantris of the Three Worlds, a Jasmine Garland does not grace a monkey's wrist.
- 1:01:13–1:01:16An ignorant rustic knows nothing of musk.
- 1:01:16–1:01:20And a pearl necklace does not adorn an old woman's breasts.
- 1:01:20–1:01:25Friend, how many days do you think these two old men will live?
- 1:01:25–1:01:30After both have died, the two of us shall marry New Moonstreak.
- 1:01:30–1:01:33That is true, but I am still unhappy.
- 1:01:33–1:01:39When the two old men go out each day to beg, New Moon streak will remain at home in their
- 1:01:39–1:01:40absence.
- 1:01:40–1:01:42Drooping vulva has cataracts.
- 1:01:42–1:01:47At such times we shall be able to accomplish what we desire.
- 1:01:47–1:01:50Friend, let it be as you have said.
- 1:01:50–1:01:56These two swindlers have joined together, and now they are coming to know each other very
- 1:01:56–1:01:57well.
- 1:01:57–1:02:00Learned Gurus, What dispute lies between you?
- 1:02:00–1:02:02What is the problem?
- 1:02:02–1:02:06He wishes to marry New Moonstreak, but I desire her as well.
- 1:02:06–1:02:10Sprout of Queral, What do you say on this matter?
- 1:02:10–1:02:16Although I have already embraced and kissed New Moonstreak, he still wants to marry her.
- 1:02:16–1:02:19I know the fundamental principles of justice.
- 1:02:19–1:02:24There is no pleasure in enjoying what is shriveled and wasted.
- 1:02:24–1:02:27Our Guru desired new moon streak first.
- 1:02:27–1:02:30So in some measure she belongs to Him.
- 1:02:30–1:02:33But after our agreement she belongs wholly to Me.
- 1:02:33–1:02:37Son, you are a bright groom of twelve years.
- 1:02:37–1:02:44Drooping vulva, who is more than a hundred years old and counts were lovers by her wrinkles,
- 1:02:44–1:02:46is a bright worthy of you.
- 1:02:46–1:02:49Approaching in speaking in Sanskrit,
- 1:02:49–1:02:51You have made this agreement.
- 1:02:51–1:02:53And I am your disciple.
- 1:02:53–1:02:57Therefore new moon streak belongs to me as well.
- 1:02:57–1:03:03Sprout of Queral, my son, accept the decision and consent to marry drooping wellward together
- 1:03:03–1:03:07with my disciple Wildcock.
- 1:03:07–1:03:09As the learned Brahmin commands,
- 1:03:09–1:03:14Ah, the creator seems pleased with me.
- 1:03:14–1:03:18In my old age I am receiving two young husbands.
- 1:03:18–1:03:22What will this boy do with his little penis in that opening through which a child has
- 1:03:22–1:03:29already been. Born, the wedding hour is approaching. Why not summon Mata Nindaka, the Great Slanderer,
- 1:03:29–1:03:36who lives in the disputed southern country? Enter the Great Slanderer. He looks at everyone
- 1:03:36–1:03:42and speaks with enormous pride. Is there any Brahmin in this entire universe who can equal
- 1:03:42–1:03:49me in religious debate or genealogy? I composed all four Vedas. Master, the Vedas issued
- 1:03:49–1:03:56from Lord Brahma's mouth. How could you have composed them? Ah! You believe that fool Brahma
- 1:03:56–1:04:04composed the Vedas. I went to heaven to investigate Brahma's genealogy. Listen! When Lord Shankara
- 1:04:04–1:04:09washed Brahma's feet with the water of the Ganges imprisoned in his matted hair, the
- 1:04:09–1:04:16enraged Brahma struck Lord Shankara with his hand. Terrified! Lord Shankara bowed to
- 1:04:16–1:04:22Brahma. But Brahma gave him no blessing of long life. When Brihaspati,
- 1:04:22–1:04:28preceptor of the gods, came before him, Brahma did not even look at him. For he regarded
- 1:04:28–1:04:33Brihaspati as a sinner who accepted gifts from the 33 gods.
- 1:04:33–1:04:38Stop this flood of words. Perform the two weddings now.
- 1:04:38–1:04:44I accept nothing as charity or gift. What harm is there in accepting a gift from a courtesan?
- 1:04:44–1:04:50You are right. Until now I did not know that this procurus belonged to a noble family.
- 1:04:50–1:04:54My lord, which woman is to marry which man?
- 1:04:54–1:04:57Do I knew Moonstreak will marry the two of us?
- 1:04:57–1:05:03The worthy perceptors, while drooping Volva, whose eyes are clouded by cataracts,
- 1:05:03–1:05:05will marry these two disciples.
- 1:05:05–1:05:11Ah, what a wonder! After being struck by the sharp arrows of her eyes,
- 1:05:11–1:05:16Is there any man who could abandon the desire to live with doe-eyed new moonstreak?
- 1:05:16–1:05:20And furthermore, new moonstreaks' brilliant white eyes
- 1:05:20–1:05:23with their restless pupils at the center
- 1:05:23–1:05:26can pierce even a steadfast heart.
- 1:05:26–1:05:30They are poison as white as the milk produced by the churning of the ocean.
- 1:05:30–1:05:34Even Lord Shiva has not the strength to endure them.
- 1:05:34–1:05:38But if I do not clasp new moonstreak tightly at this very moment,
- 1:05:38–1:05:40I may not remain alive."
- 1:05:40–1:05:41Aloud
- 1:05:41–1:05:45Despite the white radiance of her moon-like face,
- 1:05:45–1:05:49the covered breasts of doe-eyed new moon-streak have not blossomed.
- 1:05:49–1:05:53Yet beneath the brows of that moon-faced beauty,
- 1:05:53–1:05:55her lotus-like eyes are opening.
- 1:05:55–1:05:59Their repeated blossoming fills my heart with doubt.
- 1:05:59–1:06:03And furthermore, are these men are fools.
- 1:06:03–1:06:07Doe-eyed new moon-streak's lips are neck to fit to drink.
- 1:06:07–1:06:11The region above her thighs is a place fit to dwell.
- 1:06:11–1:06:14Her dear-like eyes are my only friends.
- 1:06:14–1:06:18Her lovely words are equal to the finest chanting of mantras.
- 1:06:18–1:06:21Her lotus-like body is worthy of meditation.
- 1:06:21–1:06:25If there exists a hermitage equal to her body,
- 1:06:25–1:06:29why do learned sages go into forests to practice austerities?
- 1:06:29–1:06:31Listen!
- 1:06:31–1:06:32Listen!
- 1:06:32–1:06:33Preceptors!
- 1:06:33–1:06:35Why not summon Mahayatrika?
- 1:06:35–1:06:37Profit of the final journey!
- 1:06:37–1:06:42astrologer. To determine an auspicious time for the wedding, enter the prophet of the
- 1:06:42–1:06:48final journey. He opens the almanac and speaks.
- 1:06:48–1:06:52Priest, what must be calculated?
- 1:06:52–1:06:55Determine an auspicious time for the wedding.
- 1:06:55–1:07:03Whatever the auspicious hour, whatever the day, whatever the constellation, whatever
- 1:07:03–1:07:06Whatever is to be done should be done quickly.
- 1:07:06–1:07:09This astrologer is competent.
- 1:07:09–1:07:10Listen.
- 1:07:10–1:07:11Astrologer.
- 1:07:11–1:07:16Does this auspicious hour contain any conjunction promising widowhood?
- 1:07:16–1:07:23Has the earth become so empty of men for this woman that she must remain a widow forever?
- 1:07:23–1:07:25Buffoons and everyone present.
- 1:07:25–1:07:31Take bilva leaves, wood apple leaves, and garlands in your hands, and approach your
- 1:07:31–1:07:38respective future wives. Such adornments are suitable for men at the point of death. The
- 1:07:38–1:07:46men take the hands of their future wives and sit, drooping while were between the two disciples.
- 1:07:46–1:07:53And new moons streak between the two preceptors. In deep distress, new moons streak speaks
- 1:07:53–1:07:54aside.
- 1:07:54–1:07:59I have sat in utter solitude worshipping the Goddess Parvati
- 1:07:59–1:08:00every day
- 1:08:00–1:08:03with complete devotion of heart.
- 1:08:03–1:08:05I have prayed to the Love God.
- 1:08:05–1:08:08Today my prayers and devotion to Parvati,

Plain text
वाईन like arms are locked around one another. From the exertion of their love-making, streams of sweat wash the fragrant sandal paste from their bodies. The memory of union awakens in wonder. lip's tighten, breath rises and falls unsteadily. Sudden sighs of delight escape them. Their eyes shine with pleasure. The hair on their bodies stands on end. Their brows dance, and their hands whirl in ecstasy. The rapture in emotion of Shiva and Parvati's intoxicated union spread in every direction. The demon Rahu is moving across the sky from the sun toward the moon. Eager to swallow the moon is his meal and cause an eclipse. Moon faced Parvati, when he sees your face. So like the moon in radiance, will he not mistake it for the moon and try to swallow it? Hearing her lord's words, Parvati looks up to trace Rahu's path through the sky, When Shiva seizes the chance to kiss the venerable God dispassionately, may this praise of the three-eyed Lord fulfill the wishes of the good and virtuous. After reciting the Benedictory verse, the S-U-T-R-A-D-H-A-R-A, the leading actor, speaks, There is no point in saying more. Let me put it simply. The poetry of Jagadishwar Bhattacharya is like a wondrous fair-skinned woman, free, unrestrained, independent, and capable of harousing every emotion. It is adorned according to the rules of poetic ornament, with simile and the rest, through which true understanding arises. It is faultless by the severe standards of grammar and other disciplines. It overflows with laughter and every raza. And has the power to make men laugh. When scholars hear Jagadishwara's poetry, they laugh until their very teeth begin to fall out. His worst delights the learned soul and grants boundless pleasure. The poet Sri Jagadishwar, whose lineage was purified by the worship of Shiva and whose poetic power thereby shone forth. As commanded me, in keeping with the spring season, Stage my fast the ocean of laughter And fill the hearts of connoisseurs of poetry with delight. His command must certainly be obeyed. Before this learned assembly, my own heart is restless and eager to flirt in spring with its enchanting voice, and to dance as. Well, come, then, let us dance, play music, and begin to sing, Ah, the beauty of spring is stirring my heart. For, whose sensitive heart does not search with joy in spring, when the wind, caressed by the Malia woods, carries the fragrance of sandalwood, and the sweet humming of bees mingles with the melodious call of the cuckoo. And so, what does the honey drunk be not do in spring? It roams humming through the garden, flies up into the sky, then tumbles back from the air. Its body dusted with pollen. It wanders here and there, casting restless glances, kissing the flowers and embracing its beloved lady. Your pupils cast darting side long glances like clusters of lotuses hanging from a golden vessel. How can there be pleasure without a woman? Lady, your pupils cast darting glances like clusters of lotuses suspended from a golden vessel. Your body is like moonlight. You are like the arrow of the love God. Your body seems bitten by love as by a serpent. Your body is nectar itself. Beloved, you are clever, Butful, keen, you are lovely and radiant. Come quickly, enter the naughty, the leading actress. My lord, I have come as you desired. Be gracious to me with your sweet words. Honoured lady, look, when the cuckoo's sweet song spreads everywhere. When bees in the bower's kiss flowers in rapture. Jasmine fragrance, touched by the wind from the Malia Woods, fills every quarter, what discerning man, at spring's arrival, is not wounded by the arrows of the love God? And again, in this springtime the Madhavika wine, laden with fresh blossoms, joyfully embraces the mango tree, through the unspoken murmur of that delighted embrace, and through the cuckoo's melodious song. The wine seems to instruct a newly married bride in the arts of love. She appears distracted, honoured lady, why do you seem so preoccupied? My lord, have you not heard? Heard what? I am worried and distracted because we must speak of the government of a king named Anayasindu, remains forever shut inside the women's quarters of his palace. My dear, is that true? Yes, it is true. A voice is heard from behind the curtain. King Anaya Sindhu, the ocean of disorder, is approaching swiftly, wishing to learn both the welfare and the misery of the city. Citizens, heap together great waterless earthen pots, and arrange for lines to be drawn across the royal road with needles made from drain husks. Looking upward and listening, after hearing the proclamation, fear and suspicion have driven justice, good policy, and every decent person away. Who, after hearing the clever talk of rogues and swindlers, is not scheming to seize another man's wealth? In today's kingdom, who does not take another man's wife by force to satisfy his lust? This king is now advancing toward the city. My dear, it would be unwise for us to remain here. Come, let us both leave by this road and go somewhere else. The S-U-T-R-A-D-H-A-R-A in Naati exit. of the prologue, Enter King Anayas in Dhechu, the ocean of disorder, with the servant. Ah! what misery! My body has been struck limp by the flower arrows of the love-god and scorched by the fire of passion. Day and night I devise ways to sleep with other men's wives. For Many days. Therefore, I have been unable to attend to the welfare of my citizens. Supreme Spy. Interpreter of false appearances. Make a complete investigation of the condition of my kingdom. As my lord commands. The spy goes out, peers ahead, then returns and speaks loudly into the king's ear. My Lord, I have penetrated the secret of the kingdom. Speak, speak! For lack of counsel, the administration of justice and the civil law, legal procedure, have long fallen into utter neglect and decay. How? My Lord, for this reason, every man abandons other men's wives and embraces only his own. Even in the presence of qualified, learned Brahmans, Cobblers continue sewing shoes. Shameless people worship Brahmins even when members of the lowest cast stand safely nearby. Your Majesty. Rules are being violated in this scandalous fashion throughout your kingdom. And furthermore, women apply coal not to their thighs, but to their eyes. They do not decorate their lips with vermilion, but place vermilion in the parting of their hair. Where it shines red, red. They paint their feet with lac and wear anklets on their ankles. They do not wear jewel-studded necklaces over their eyes or anklets across both breasts. They wear necklaces around the waist rather than on their feet, and a golden girdle around the waist rather than on the lips. With great distress I have seen such upside down, meaningless wearing of ornaments in every house of the kingdom. The king listens to the spy, then speaks aside. For a long time I have given no thought to affairs of state. That is why justice has collapsed so rapidly. Very well. I shall establish a system of punishment. Allowed. Listen. Summon my minister, Kumativama, known as the Defender of Folly. As my lord commands. The spy exits and returns with the minister. Enter the Defender of Folly. He salutes the king with his left hand. My lord, without waiting for me to ask, state plainly whatever you desire. I shall carry it out. Minister, because there has been no suitable place to hold court, I have been unable for many days to discuss affairs of state. My lord, there is an exceedingly fine place right here for holding court. Say the word. The house of a procurus named Bandura. Drooping Volva. Defender of Folly. It seems you consulted the secret wish of my heart before proposing a courtroom. I have no taste for touching the queen's drooping breasts. I. 2. Wish to embrace a courtesan. Can the love god ever dwell in a woman whose breasts hang down? And furthermore, at the sight of a desirable woman's high breasts. Rising like inaccessible mountains, the love god tears a young man's heart open with his sharp arrows. In this battle of love his assault strikes the breasts and brings the fortress down, but the weak cowardly love God flees the moment the ramparts collapse. So I firmly believe, shall we go, he sets off happily with the minister. My lord, the fragrance of camphor, sandalwood, musk, and many kinds of flowers is coming from this direction. I therefore suppose this must be drooping vulva's house. My lord, please come this way. This is indeed Drooping Volver's house. By coming here I have gained the merit of a hundred pilgrimages. Where is Drooping Volver? The procurus. Entered Drooping Volver joyfully, accompanied by hundreds of gallants. Oh, wonderful, wonderful. Listen, my gallants. The greatest of rogues, King Ocean of Disorder, has arrived. Sing songs of spring to the beat of cymbals and drums do not delay. All the GALLA NTS drawn near and sing joyfully. Filled with the sweet humming of honey drunk bees, graced by the songs of women with exquisite voices. with youths whose hearts have been pierced by the love God, may spring make all this ay. Season of delight for you. They continue singing and playing the refrain again and again. Ah, defender of folly, drooping vulva wants something. You are the greatest sinner in the whole world. Therefore the thunderbolt, sparing everyone else, will strike only your head. I do not know what will happen, but what should I do now? You have already displayed your mizzerliness. Perform three fasts at this holy place, abstaining from every pleasure. There is no need to be afraid. I shall bow merely to deceive drooping vulva. Mother drooping vulva. I salute you, Mamrie Gunkalica, new moon streak, be gracious to you. This procurus has asked me for no favor. So I have escaped a mortal sin. Where is new moon streak? Enter new moon S.T.R.E.K., a wine like body adorned with splendid ornaments. Mother, who is this? Daughter, do you not recognize him? King Ocean of Disorder has come to meet you. What act could be more meritorious than this? Her body is marvellous. Her face outshines the moon. Her restless eyes are darkened with coal. Like a vine she twists her brows to reveal every feeling. A mark of sandal paste mixed with musk adorns her forehead. Her lovely lips are red as banduca blossoms at the mere report of such a beautiful vine like body. Even gods and sages might be bewitched. Who would not be enchanted by her nectar-soaked voice? Such beauty is rare in all three worlds. And furthermore, her body is a lovely lake. Her radiant youth is its water. Her face is a lotus rooted in the mud of musk. Her restless eyes are lotus stalks. Her hands move like circling bees. Her breasts are two rival elephants. My mind refuses to leave this lake. Yet how can it refrain from furiously crushing those? Breast elephants? such as New Moonstreak's body. Drooping Volva, why do you seem preoccupied? My lord, I am waiting for a salaried preceptor named Vishwapandha, the universal buffoon, who is coming to teach the arts of love. He will train New Moonstreak in amorous skill. The universal buffoon is is also our family priest. A voice from behind the curtain. He fasts by day but eats fish and meat at night. He wears matted hair like an ascetic. Yet burns to visit courtesans. Crown jewel of hypocrites. Clad in ochre robes and carrying a handsome staff. The venerable universal buffoon approaches. the universal buffoon with his disciple Kala Hanukura, the Sprout of Quarrel. Ah, what a beautiful spring day! And furthermore, spring's sweet, fragrant intoxication plunges the lover's heart into drunkenness. It is the companion of the love God, brother to all who hunger for fulfillment, a meeting place where delight, teasing, and bashful feeling gather together. Turning to his disciple, he declaims, The sound of bronze cymbals resounds across the whole sky. The soft yet unbroken beat of the maridana spreads in every direction. The fragrance of camphor, agarwood, and sandal fills every quarter of the heavens. Sun, go quickly and discover whose house is celebrating such a festival. Master, the celebration is taking place at the house of a procurus named Drooping Volva. Sun, last year the Precurae's Drooping Volva invited us to dine. This seems an excellent opportunity. They move on and arrive at Drooping VULV's door. Preceptor, this seat is broken. Venerable Sir, please sit upon it. Mother Drooping Volva, I salute you. Sun, may you cross the ocean of lust, looking at new moon streak. If I can seize the great jar like breasts of this doe-eyed girl, then I shall indeed cross the ocean of lust." She smiles at the universal buffoon. So this is the universal buffoon, the great preceptor. He has already received the blessing of drooping vulva. worshipped by the entire community of courtesans. And now he has seated himself beside her to receive still more blessings. Master, I salute you. Listen, sprout of quarrel. Quickly pronounce a blessing upon the king. May menstrual blood flow from your eyes. And furthermore, may your enemies increase. Your Your fears increase. Your illnesses increase. Your debts and sins increase. May misfortune and stupidity flourish within you. May these seven kinds of prosperity be yours." After reciting the blessing, he scatters duroir grass and rice over the king's head. Master, who is this wicked boy? Do you not know him? He is the fire that has reduced his entire lineage to ashes. The culmination of every dreadful sin. The accumulated store of all negligence. He is a hero in plundering wealth. The embodied form of stupidity. And cruelty itself. This is Kallahengkora, the Sprout of Quarrel. He looks to a drooping vulva. Sun, Sprout of Quarrel, her hanging breasts are like rain-heavy clouds. Old age has made her a dwelling place for every disease. Like a field-laid waste. She has now surrendered all her treasures. Like a crane stripped of its leg ornaments. Like a sky gone dark without stars. She has lost her former splendor. Her great age makes people deny that she can still be an object of desire. Just as the moon's face disappears from sight. This is Drooping Volva. The sight of her now recalls an unwelcome cloud drifting overhead. Sun, go and salute the venerable Drooping Volva. Ah, great preceptor, what a wonder! Drooping Volva has a beard beneath her face. And furthermore, terrified by the devastation of old age, her Volva has shriveled up. This celibate student is thoroughly corrupt. He truly deserves the name Kala Hancura, Sprout of Quarrel. Astonishing, how intense are this young woman's erotic gestures? Unrestrained and acting entirely at will. She looks and smiles. After a leisurely pause she stops and yawns. Making her whole body tremble. She prolongs the moment of delight. While the cloth covering her breast slips loose on every side. Letting down and loosening her hair. Embracing her companion, and demanding an answer before she has even asked a question, who is this marvelous? Restless-eyed woman who shines supreme in the play of love, and furthermore, her eyes dart like wagtails. Her face is lovely as a golden lotus. Her breasts are full, high, and always trembling. Her waist is slender and her hips are broad and heavy. If Lord Shiva, the Great Aesthetic, were to see New Moonstreak even once. Would he too not be wounded by the Love God's arrow? Preceptor, my daughter New Moonstreak is now fully prepared to receive instruction in the arts of love. At present my school, too, is without a pupil. Mother, his nails and teeth are worn out like those of an old tiger. Age has reduced him to skin and bone. Yet day and night this shameless universal buffoon laughs at me and mocks me." Lo Cortizan, thief of other people's sons and wealth, do not look at my guru and imagine that he has fallen into bad company. Though his wife has constant intercourse with him, she still wanders in search of some great master of the arts of love so that her knowledge May. Increase. Such is her wifely devotion that. Dressed as a widow, she would follow the universal buffoon to the funeral pyre and pretend to burn herself. And you still dare call my guru old. More than that, my guru even now removes the cloth that covers his modesty and sleeps in his mother's lap. And you call such a guru shameless? Blessed is that Brahmin wife, blessed is this Brahmin disciple, and blessed indeed is the Preceptor. Daughter, do not speak so wickedly. You do not yet know the Preceptor properly. The universal buffoon may be old and the teacher of every scoundrel. Yet like the sun he can spread the light of love and make the lotus bloom. Ah, what a wonder! The white hair upon drooping Volva's head and her pale eyebrows bloom fully like Cauchy flowers. Age has weakened the body that once was love's dwelling. And her breasts have withered and sagged. Yet even after all these changes, the sound of her voice still awakens desire. If desire survives all this, where could it ever disappear? Drooping Volva, do you seem to be trembling a little from old age? It is true. the gallants who were once devoted to me, and recalling their virtues. I am now suffering from the fever of love. Your Majesty, drooping vulva has caught love fever. Then why do you not summon the great physician Vyadasindu? Ocean of disease. Son of Atchurantaka. Death of patience. Do you not know the son of death of patience? Have you heard nothing of his virtues? Are you unaware of the courteous treatment notion of disease gives his patients? If there is stabbing pain in the stomach, apply a red hot rod to the eyes. If the feet are swollen, bore holes through the palms if there is a stone in the bladder, operate inside the nose with a sharp knife, for gout and disorders of wind, make the patient drink boiling oil. For heart disease, place the patient's testicles between two rods and crush them hard. After receiving such delightful treatment, what patient would not proceed toward the cremation ground? And furthermore, make a coughing patient inhale the smoke of burning chaff. If too much wind fills the belly, force him to labour, give him a purgative, and make him fast if digestion is weak. Feed him minced meat with his meal. If he suffers from asthma, make him drink water without pause. If he has a disorder of bile, feed him dried ginger, picar leaves, and pepper broth, if a bodily humour causes fever. Bathe him in a tub. How can one adequately praise the virtues of ocean of disease? The great physician. It is impossible for a single mouth to recite the full catalogue of his merits. A voice from behind the garden. The royal physician who kills every patient, Ocean of Disease, is coming onto the stage. The flesh of his legs is badly rotten and covered with round boils. Again and again he uses the hem of his garment to dry flies from his oozing sores. The violence of his cough resounds on every side. Even through the heavens. Enter Ocean of Disease. He circles slowly and speaks with immense pride. As a physician, I contain every disease in perfect form. My ill fame and disgrace are my glory. Once I have treated him, even the immortal Markandey cannot remain alive for long. And furthermore, a patient needs neither medicine nor treatment. One glimpse of me is enough to kill him. Great Preceptor, I salute you. Sprout of Quarrel, bless the royal physician. May you live forever with your enemies. May your life be short. May you not survive even two more auspicious moments. May a sharp thorn lodge in your heart. May a serpent bite your neck. And for crimes committed by others may the king punish you by beheading. May you always worry about food. And may your house burn forever. Wicked boy, are you mocking me? Ocean of disease is your dead father, death of patience, keeping well? How could he be well without seeing you? Who in this entire world could see her breasts? Like golden jars, without a heart overflowing with desire? physician I wish to consult you on a medical matter is a physician to be consulted only after the family has gathered rice and sesame for the funeral offering selected a fine axe for preparing the pire and every relative has abandoned all attachment to the patient you are a great physician indeed Great Physician, drooping vulva is suffering from phlegm after excessive indulgence in love. You must prescribe her treatment. Why was the preparation of scalding oil not poured into her anus at once? Do not delay the procedure any longer. This physician has no sense at all. My lord, by great good fortune I have found the finest physician. Ah, one must attend to a thousand things. I have forgotten the question. Sun sprout of coral, remind me what we ask the physician. Great physician! New moon streak has developed an itch from applying too much vermilion and musk. Please tell us what should be done to cure this ailment. The disciple is just like his guru. A dog belongs on an ash heap, meeks an ointment of water hyacinth with finely powdered scorpions and thorns, and smear it over new moon streaks entire body. The itch will disappear at once. An excellent medicine. Yes. Now I remember. Great physician. Drooping Volva has developed a headache from the pleasures of love battle. What should be done for that? physician. I have long known of your learning. Please prescribe a medicine for my phlegm." He. He. Why did you not say that you had phlegm? Long ago, a certain ruling king developed phlegm because of an excess disorder of wind. At that time my father, a Turantica, death of patients who was authoritative in the Ayurvedic works of Charaka. Sushruta, Vagbhata, and Nagarjuna cured the king's flame by cleansing his eyes with black salt and fastening a hundred leeches upon them. What is the treatment for my illness? If a minor remedy will do, wipe prescribe a major one. Your phlegm will be destroyed if you place wasps, leeches, and scorpions inside your nose and eyes. You truly are the son of death of patience. A commotion is heard behind the curtain. Gatekeeper, find out at once who has come to see me. Bring the visitor here quickly. As my lord commands, great king, Raktakalola, wave of blood, a barber, is dragging in a bleeding citizen by his clothes. Tell him to enter and present himself. Great king, I present before you this barber named Raktakalola. Enter wave of blood, gripping the clothes of a bleeding citizen. He circles the stage and speaks in Sanskrit. The moment I take razor in hand and prepare to scrape, a man abandons every hope of life. Whenever I set to work as a barber, my heart grows eager to see streams of blood flowing from the human body. And furthermore, when a man's hands, feet, and neck have been bound and he screams in dreadful pain, the moment I begin to cut his nails he gives up every hope even of being born again. Looking around the assembly, he offers a mirror. Drooping Volva, you should take the mirror first. Great King. I have contracted the eye disease called cataract. I cannot see the reflection of my face in the mirror at all. Let your majesty take it first. Ocean of disease. Even in your presence this procurous drooping vulva has developed the eye disease called cataract. Why not hold an iron rod heated in the fire firmly and steadily? and press it against the pupil? When no eye remains, how can the disease called cataract survive? Should not the physician first test the remedy by applying the red hot rod to his own eyes? This cortisand marks me. There is no point remaining here. Oh, old age has come upon me. My hair has turned white. My teeth are rotting and falling out. My body has grown old and weak. Cataracts cloud my eyes. My ears can no longer hear a sound. And the flesh of my body hangs loose. All this is the work of age. Yet even in this condition my restless heart is forever eager to embrace a fair courtesan. The sport of God seems very strange to me. Barba, if you have something to say about this matter, say it now. Great King, I have a dispute with this man who is writhing in pain. Minister, consider how justice should be given between these two men. Baba, tell me, who first saw this blood? I saw it first. What do you mean? You first saw the blood flowing from my body. Baba, how did you come to see it first? This admirable minister is as distinguished as the king. Great king, I was holding this man's finger in order to cut his nail. At that very moment he covered his eye with the finger. My instrument therefore entered his eye and broke. That is why he began to bleed. He has spoken correctly. Citizen, you must pay the Baba the price of His broken nail cutting instrument. The minister is every bit as distinguished as the king. Great King, a Brahman named Mityarnava, Ocean of Falsehood, wishes to see you. Let him come in. Enter. Enter Ocean of Falsehood. Great Preceptor, a relative by marriage is staying with me. A Brahmin has died in his house. This Brahmin had studied all four Vedas, observed the rules of celibacy with exceptional strictness, bathed once a year, and suffered many wounds from the kick of a fly's foot, grieved by the Brahmin's death. I went in search of a learned authority on scripture and found you in a procurus's house. Please tell me what penance we should perform to atone for this sin. If the Brahmin is truly dead, his wife or son should drink extremely hot water mixed with cow dung. In that way they too will attain the road to heaven. He did not die from the kick of a fly's foot. The townspeople beat him to death for committing adultery with a washerwoman. Then everyone has been freed from the stain of sin. of sin. Purify the washerwoman, who is tainted with the sin of killing a Brahmin. By ritual, and bring her home again. Your learning is admirable. Looking at new moon streak Who is the man who went to the bank of the Ganges and worshipped Lord Shiva with lotus flowers? Who is the man who worshipped with total devotion the love God? Enemy of the demon Shambhara, and who is the man who knowingly and selflessly gives up his life, where the Ganges meets the sea. In the same way I ask, who is the fortunate man whose lap will be adorned? Even for a few moments. By new moon streak. In Shantris of the world. I came here to embrace a courtesan, but many wicked men have already gathered. When leeches cling to the bodies of other leeches, there is no point remaining here." Why has the magistrate Saduhim Saka, tormenter of the virtuous, not yet arrived, entered tormenter of the virtuous in a cheerful mood? An armed thief has thrown the whole city into turmoil. That is why I have come. In the greatest delight to visit a courtesan. Minister, this thief has spread terrible fear. What is to be done? Great King! First the army must be properly equipped, then I must be protected. After that the Queen. And finally the Royal Palace. Speaking in distress. Inside the palace one may catch a glimpse of the moon. When I am with the queen, I lie awake all night for fear that the crumbling walls will fall. A snake must always keep its poison ready. For the frog croaks throughout the night and lives in fear that the snake will seize it. Therefore, the palace must be protected from the thief before anything else. Ah! I wish to know how the queen is now. Supreme Minister, tell me something more about the queen. For whose sake the king appears so sorrowful and anxious? Would a man not need a thousand mouths, like the serpent Adisheshah, to describe the queen's virtues? Even so, tell me something. I long to hear of her qualities. Since you insist, I shall describe them briefly. The Queen's face is dark as a moonless night. She is fair as lamp-black. Her beautiful eyes resemble a cat's. Her waist is like an enormous water jar, and her high breasts hang below her navel. These virtues make the Queen the the enchantress of the entire world. Friend, the king is foremost among learned men, but you are the crown jewel of all poets. Great King, if fear of the thief has spread so widely, why not summon the commander Rana Jambuka? The Jackal of War. Enter Jackal of War. He circles the stage and speaks proudly. Great King, hear the account of my heroic exploit. Tell us! Great King, today I saw a bee-drinking nectar from a red flower. And then? At once I put on my armor, took up my weapons, and with four soldiers bound the bee in a thick leather rope and dragged it toward me. And then? Then with my sharp sword I split the bee open like a hollow leather pouch. No doubt remains about your valour. possess the strength of 10,000 elephants. Commander, the hour has come to fight wicked men. How eager are you for battle? During intercourse, if I mistake the red lac on my wife's feet for blood, I faint and fall, even when the whole earth is covered by the darkness of the new moon night. I lose consciousness. Tell me, then, what will become of me if I see soldiers drenched in blood upon the battlefield." She laughs loudly. Oh, wicked courtesan, you mock me, why do you not fight me this instant? Great King, an astrologer named Mahayatrika, prophet of the final journey, is at the door. Let him enter. The gatekeeper speaks and exits. offering, opening his almanac, turning southward, and reading. May the sun occupy your birth sign and destroy your position. May Jupiter remain in your horoscope and increase your fears. May Saturn dwell in the eighth house and multiply your pain and disease. May Mars also occupy the 8th house. Kill your entire family and strike you with weapons. Then May mighty Rahu. Together with the sun in your 12th house. Destroy your wealth with these powerful planets so placed. Even the otherwise favourable influence of the moon. Venus and Mercury will scarcely bear fruit. You have heard the blessing. At this moment the Great King wishes to go to war. Calculate an auspicious hour for his great journey. The Great King's great journey will take place at dawn on a Saturday, on the full moon day of the month of Shrivana, under the sign of Scorpio. Then he will certainly die. He will carry away with him the demon of his subjects misfortune. Looking east and west, the orb of the sun is sinking. While the orb of the moon swells as it rises, the reddened eyes of the angry love god imitate the two glowing orbs. Because the people have been kept apart from their wives. Looking lovingly at new moon street. Sprout of quarrel, my son, evening has come, go to new moon streak and whisper in her ear that I wish to spend the evening with her in private. Meditation This guru of mine is thoroughly wicked. He wants to make love with the girl. And And furthermore, every day I have diligently served my revered guru, and what have I gained? Every day I have worshipped the sun, and what benefit has it brought? I have studied the Vedas with severe discipline, and what profit is there in that? Even if I attain heaven, what use will it be? All of it is fruitless unless I can passionately embrace new moon streaks high, picture-like breasts and quench the fire of love with sweat. There is no point delaying. Why should I not clasp her tightly and kiss her face? New moon streak. I have something to tell you. Say it. If it is proper. In some script. Youth is fleeting. It lasts only 10 or 15 days. Hi. Firm breasts droop and hang with age and can never rise again. Moon faced new moon streak. Life offers no certainty. No one knows how long it will last knowing all this. When a young woman rejects a youth who longs for love, her firm breasts pierce his heart like thorns. She smiles faintly. New moon streak. I must tell you a secret. Please listen. Even the gods cannot have drunk the nectar of New Moon Streak's lips. No wonder. Then, that the gods were joyfully content with the moon-like nectar that fell from Rahu's mouth. Wicked boy! You must perform penance for embracing and kissing new moon streak. Whom I desired from the beginning. You must perform the penance. Because you desire a woman whom your disciple has already embraced. That limb of yours whose name is also used for an elephant's trunk, your hand, must be cut off. because you touched the young woman desired by your guru. Since you call new moon streak, already kissed by your disciple, the woman you desire, the limb with which you would adorn a beautiful woman's waist deserves to be cut off. Those teeth of yours, hidden behind your lips, must be torn out, because you wounded new moon streak's lips with them. Your linga, the word formed by placing a vowel before the root, Liji deserves to be torn out. Because with that organ you would torment the young woman whom your disciple has already kissed. Thus the two dance in quarrel while everyone present laughs. Abad speaks from behind the curtain. The eyes of a bold and experienced woman. Tightly embraced. Dart with anticipation of the supreme delight of love-making. The troubled eyes of an innocent. An inexperienced woman reveal her fear of defeat in love's battle. A woman whose husband has gone on a journey watches the fierce sun sink behind the mountain with tearful eyes and loneliness in her heart. These women share no blood. Yet all gaze upon the setting sun in pain. And furthermore, as the sun god sets in the west, the moon's rays now scorch the lotuses and make them wither. With night approaching, great black bees abandon the flowers. While the setting sun deprives them of light, they are like women tormented by the thought of husbands departing on journeys. A second bod sings. Where has the sun's orb gone? Visible only a moment ago. Where have the calls of the Chakravaka birds gone? Audible only a moment ago. Where have the male and female swans gone? who only a moment ago cast off shame and joined in love play. The moon has risen, reddened by the rays of the setting sun. Like the angry face of a woman who has discovered that her husband is attached to another, hearing the bees sing. Clusters of lotuses awaken and seem to laugh as they display their joy. And furthermore, at the sight of the rising moon's disk. The heart wonders, is this truly a beautiful bowl from which the dwellers in heaven drink nectar? Is it a ball with which rutty? Wife of the love-god. Plays. Or is it a heap of foam from the Ganges? Is it King Love's parasol? Or is it the vast treasury of fame? Evening has come. Why do you not go and complete your daily observances? What good will come from completing them. I am worried by the trouble caused by the thief. Still, I shall go. But wait a moment. Look at the hostility between the preceptor and his disciple." He takes up his staff and runs forward angrily. He shrieks and shakes his whole body. The The two sees new moon S.T.R.E.A.K.'s clothing. Dancing was this struggle and shouting, She is mine, she is mine. Single quote. My lord, Preceptor, Please end this quarrel for today. Night has fallen. Tomorrow morning a preceptor named Madananda Mishra, Mishra blinded by lust, will come to, new moon streak. Both of you must obey whatever decision he gives. So be it. All exit. Thus ends Act One of the Fast, the Ocean of Laughter. By the judgment of the Assembly and the Council. The following morning, enter the universal buffoon and sprout of Quarrel. Ah, in the East, the sun's rays appear red as vermilion in the parting of a woman's hair. a husband has spent the entire night in love play with his mistress. He stands before his wife at sunrise and she glares at him with blood red. Furious eyes. Just so, the red lotuses of the pond look redder still in the crimson morning light. Because the sun spent the whole night in some other region of the earth. And furthermore, the morning breeze gives the heart great joy, for it carries the pleasing fragrance of day-blooming lotuses. It also bears the sweet scent of musk and vermilion, washed into streaks of red and black by the sweat of women exhausted from love play. Where are drooping vulva and new moon streak? Enter drooping vulva and new moon streak. Looking at new moon streak. If new moon streak, whose face is like the autumn moon? Casts one restless glance at me. Who will notice the blue lotus adorning her ear? And furthermore, Even Lord Shiva would find it difficult to resist new moon streaks' sleepy eyes and their darting. Side long glances. Drooping Volva, has Madananda Mishra, Mishra blinded by lust, still not arrived. A voice from behind the curtain. His sacred thread has been reddened by the fragrant cosmetics of Kurtisans. His eyes have grown red from drinking cannabis liquor. His whole forehead is smeared with sandal paste. and he has completely abandoned every act of worship and religious observance. The embodied form of such virtues is approaching in person. Madhananda Mishra, blinded by lust, is seen entering with his disciple Kulala, the wild hawk. Look! Hearing bees hum around the mango trees in the sweet sounds of cranes and cuckoos. This spring resounds with the hot size of beautiful women separated from their lovers. And furthermore, touched by cool droplets splashed from the hands of women playing in the waters of the Cauvery. Filled with the fragrance of pale sandalwood and awakening the excitement of love, the southern wind gently stirs clusters of new mango shoots. At the touch of fully opened wine flowers. It seems a little frightened. As though it had come into contact with a menstruating woman. How shall I pass this spring without a quarter-zan? Wild cock, my son, look, it is already noon. The sun god heats the earth with his rays. All the birds have taken shelter in wine-covered boughs. Swans have settled motionless beneath radiant. Fully opened lotuses. theory, sorrowing travelers, their hearts burning with the fierce pain of long separation from their wives. Sit beneath the shade of leafless trees, sighing without pause as they write. Good sir, a procurus named Drooping Vulva lives in this city. It is said that she receives guests exceptionally well. We should dine at her house. Is she of high birth? What doubt can there be? Even a man of the lowest caste drinks water in her house. Then come, son. The two turn toward drooping VULV's house. Before they can enter. Blinded by lust, please sit upon this beautiful seat. Is it not astonishing that New Moon Streak, Jewel among women, stands before me? Between folds of red clothing. New Moon Streaks breast gleams in the curve of a rising half moon. Like a bright fragment of moon emerging over the eastern mountain, she arches her brows and casts a lustful, restless glance, creating the illusion of a bee tugging at the petal of a great ketaki flower. What man could see such a sight without agitation, without being compelled to look at her? And furthermore, new moon-streaks body is a splendid forest her high breasts rise like inaccessible mountains. The region of her navel lies deep below. Her trembling, quivering arms possess the beauty of a swarm of lovely bees. Seeing all these signs, the heart grows a little afraid that the love-god himself has become a hunter and is striking with the sharp arrows of her restless glances. My dear like heart, tell me, where will you find refuge? How can I deceive sprout of queral in the universal buffoon? Very well, I shall pretend to be a follower of the Vavishnava sect and trick them. Tum, you must forever repeat the name of Vishnu. Eyes, the Lord pervades the entire universe, you must see in that manner. Ears, you must forever hear the glory of God. Heart, you must hold with absolute firmness that Lord Narayana alone is the refuge of all. Ah, by uttering God's name I have committed a mortal sin. What must I do to atone for it? Blinded by lust is a rogue, trying to deceive us in the name of the Vaishnava sect. Very well, I shall show him something in return. I forever meditate in my heart upon Lord Krishna, crown jewel of the three worlds. Whose form is like blue sapphire? Who, like a bee, forever hovers about the lotus face of the goddess Lakshmi? Whose dark color is like the smoke that draws tears from the eyes of demons' wives? Wild cock, my son, now expound the doctrine of the Vavishnava sect. As my master commands. In the age of Kali, human life is naturally short. On top of that, wicked men force others to fast and practice various bodily austerities, thereby destroying the body. The wise understand the futility of physical torment and prefer religion and mode of worship that includes a life of sensual enjoyment and the pleasures found at a court to Zen's door. Sprout of quarrel, my son, expound the Vaishnava doctrine. If for fear of the contempt of fools a man observes a fast despite terrible suffering and endures inward agony from fear of the death that may come in the night. Nevertheless, in order to remain alive, he must first rise and eat in the morning. Thus the true danger is that life itself may end through remaining hungry and fasting. If death is the result, how can complete liberation be attained? And furthermore, the face of any priest who declares that painful fasting earns merit should be smeared with ashes. Supreme liberation is possible only when the incomparable Lord Shiva is pleased by offerings of meat, fish, and women. This preceptor is extremely clever. He cannot be deceived. It is useless to bait an old cat with sour rice. Very well. I shall trick him by displaying humility. Master, I salute you. Friend, may you live long, but when a woman such as Drooping Volva, who has served multitudes, is present, it is not proper for a man like you to salute me first. Oh, I must took you for drooping valvour and saluted you. He truly is blinded by lust that is why he mistook a man for drooping valvour, the Precurus. Drooping valvour, I offer you my respectful salutation. Daughter, raise him up and pronounce a blessing upon him. May Gowri, the consort and other half of Lord Shiva, be gracious to you. Having said this, New Moon Streak lowers her eyes in embarrassment. Ah! The sight of New Moon Streak leaves me astonished. The two feet of doe-eyed New Moon Streak can barely support the weight of her immense hips. How can her incomparable waist bear the weight of her two high breasts? Which resemble the temples of an elephant? Excellent Brahmin! I inform you that today a fire sacrifice to the love god is being held in my house. Please act as priest and bring it to completion. The hollow between doe-eyed new moon-streaks thighs will serve as the sacrificial altar. Her vulva between those thighs, the place desired by men of pleasure, will be the fire pit. Her breasts will serve as the sacrificial fruit. The fiercely burning fire of desire will be the ritual flame. I shall be the priest. And my semen the offering poured into the sacrifice. While my penance will be the sacrificial ladle. The SPHYA. With all these materials ready to grant immediate satisfaction. What man would refuse to perform such an erotic vignyotra? Drooping vulva, old age has weakened your body, making you unable to carry out your duty. You should therefore appoint your daughter to gather the materials for the sacrifice. Daughter, follow the venerable Brahmin's wishes. New moon streak goes inside the house. First settle the quarrel between my guru and me. son, wait a little, until the sacrifice has been completed. Blinded by lust enters the house, has vigorous intercourse with new moon streak, and speaks in delight. Her breasts are crushed by the embrace. Her face is wet with sweat from excessive exertion. Closing her eyes after a kiss, she utteres sounds of pleasure. Her brows are lovely and her side long glances restless. The delight of such a cortisan, praised through the smooth speech of deceivers, can be enjoyed only by a man who has accumulated every kind of merit for a hundred years. Looking at New Moon S.T.R.E.A.K. aside, the call has been washed from New Moon Streak's two beautiful eyes. In the redness from her lips, the knot of hair upon her head has loosened, and the sandal paste has been wiped from her body by the sweat of love play. Her thighs no longer tremble, her hands have gone slack, and her chest heaves again and again. From all these signs it is certain that she is coming this way after intercourse. Good sirs, one man has completed the sacrifice. his left eye, he gestures for the disciple to stop. What will you gain by stopping me? One man's accumulated merit cannot purify another, can it? Son, wait a moment. Great-blinded by lust, I now understand how your sacrifice was completed. Even so, you must judge the dispute between the two of us. Arrange matters so that I may marry New Moonstreak. The two of us shall marry her. What harm is there in that? Consider, in this world Kunti, daughter of King Boja, and Madri were married to six lords, Dharma, Vayu, Indra, the two Ashvan twins, and Pandu, yet they were still called faithful wives. Draupadi, too, was wife to all five Pandavas. Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva, it is therefore clear that a woman commits no sin by marrying several men. These two wicked men have joined forces. I should now make an alliance with Sprout of Quarrel. Friend. Look. These two men have become allies and will both marry New Moonstreak. Why should the two of us not marry Drooping Vulva? Friend. I do not think you have spoken wisely. We have no experience of intercourse with an old woman. Besides, it is painful that these two old men will marry New Moonstreak. In Chantris of the Three Worlds, a Jasmine Garland does not grace a monkey's wrist. An ignorant rustic knows nothing of musk. And a pearl necklace does not adorn an old woman's breasts. Friend, how many days do you think these two old men will live? After both have died, the two of us shall marry New Moonstreak. That is true, but I am still unhappy. When the two old men go out each day to beg, New Moon streak will remain at home in their absence. Drooping vulva has cataracts. At such times we shall be able to accomplish what we desire. Friend, let it be as you have said. These two swindlers have joined together, and now they are coming to know each other very well. Learned Gurus, What dispute lies between you? What is the problem? He wishes to marry New Moonstreak, but I desire her as well. Sprout of Queral, What do you say on this matter? Although I have already embraced and kissed New Moonstreak, he still wants to marry her. I know the fundamental principles of justice. There is no pleasure in enjoying what is shriveled and wasted. Our Guru desired new moon streak first. So in some measure she belongs to Him. But after our agreement she belongs wholly to Me. Son, you are a bright groom of twelve years. Drooping vulva, who is more than a hundred years old and counts were lovers by her wrinkles, is a bright worthy of you. Approaching in speaking in Sanskrit, You have made this agreement. And I am your disciple. Therefore new moon streak belongs to me as well. Sprout of Queral, my son, accept the decision and consent to marry drooping wellward together with my disciple Wildcock. As the learned Brahmin commands, Ah, the creator seems pleased with me. In my old age I am receiving two young husbands. What will this boy do with his little penis in that opening through which a child has already been. Born, the wedding hour is approaching. Why not summon Mata Nindaka, the Great Slanderer, who lives in the disputed southern country? Enter the Great Slanderer. He looks at everyone and speaks with enormous pride. Is there any Brahmin in this entire universe who can equal me in religious debate or genealogy? I composed all four Vedas. Master, the Vedas issued from Lord Brahma's mouth. How could you have composed them? Ah! You believe that fool Brahma composed the Vedas. I went to heaven to investigate Brahma's genealogy. Listen! When Lord Shankara washed Brahma's feet with the water of the Ganges imprisoned in his matted hair, the enraged Brahma struck Lord Shankara with his hand. Terrified! Lord Shankara bowed to Brahma. But Brahma gave him no blessing of long life. When Brihaspati, preceptor of the gods, came before him, Brahma did not even look at him. For he regarded Brihaspati as a sinner who accepted gifts from the 33 gods. Stop this flood of words. Perform the two weddings now. I accept nothing as charity or gift. What harm is there in accepting a gift from a courtesan? You are right. Until now I did not know that this procurus belonged to a noble family. My lord, which woman is to marry which man? Do I knew Moonstreak will marry the two of us? The worthy perceptors, while drooping Volva, whose eyes are clouded by cataracts, will marry these two disciples. Ah, what a wonder! After being struck by the sharp arrows of her eyes, Is there any man who could abandon the desire to live with doe-eyed new moonstreak? And furthermore, new moonstreaks' brilliant white eyes with their restless pupils at the center can pierce even a steadfast heart. They are poison as white as the milk produced by the churning of the ocean. Even Lord Shiva has not the strength to endure them. But if I do not clasp new moonstreak tightly at this very moment, I may not remain alive." Aloud Despite the white radiance of her moon-like face, the covered breasts of doe-eyed new moon-streak have not blossomed. Yet beneath the brows of that moon-faced beauty, her lotus-like eyes are opening. Their repeated blossoming fills my heart with doubt. And furthermore, are these men are fools. Doe-eyed new moon-streak's lips are neck to fit to drink. The region above her thighs is a place fit to dwell. Her dear-like eyes are my only friends. Her lovely words are equal to the finest chanting of mantras. Her lotus-like body is worthy of meditation. If there exists a hermitage equal to her body, why do learned sages go into forests to practice austerities? Listen! Listen! Preceptors! Why not summon Mahayatrika? Profit of the final journey! astrologer. To determine an auspicious time for the wedding, enter the prophet of the final journey. He opens the almanac and speaks. Priest, what must be calculated? Determine an auspicious time for the wedding. Whatever the auspicious hour, whatever the day, whatever the constellation, whatever Whatever is to be done should be done quickly. This astrologer is competent. Listen. Astrologer. Does this auspicious hour contain any conjunction promising widowhood? Has the earth become so empty of men for this woman that she must remain a widow forever? Buffoons and everyone present. Take bilva leaves, wood apple leaves, and garlands in your hands, and approach your respective future wives. Such adornments are suitable for men at the point of death. The men take the hands of their future wives and sit, drooping while were between the two disciples. And new moons streak between the two preceptors. In deep distress, new moons streak speaks aside. I have sat in utter solitude worshipping the Goddess Parvati every day with complete devotion of heart. I have prayed to the Love God. Today my prayers and devotion to Parvati, the Love God, and all the other deities are bearing fruit. Marriage to these two old Brahmins is as dreadful as a sentence of death and will drive me still. Nearer to the grave. Giver of gifts. Bring the Madhupaka, the mixture of honey, milk, curd, sugar, and ghee. My Lord, there is no honey. There is only milk and water. Bring it. She brings milk and water. Looking at each bridegroom. You are men scorched by the fire of the cremation ground and abandoned by friends and relatives. You should bathe. Drink this milk. And rejoice after drinking it. Taking Durva grass and rice in his hands. In this world, the death of every creature is inevitable, and life is like a dream. Think in this way about life and death. And do not grieve over any of these events. You who place your trust in the great sleep, you who lie upon the great bed of the funeral pyre, may you all dwell in the cremation ground. He scatters Durva grass and rice over everyone's head. For those who marry, it is entirely fitting to sleep upon a funeral pyre in the cremation ground. Sprout of quarrel, first pay me the fee for accepting a hundred-year-old maiden. He offers a sweet mead with bhang. May you prosper. Om! I bow to the goddess Gayatri. This sweet produces supreme delight in matters of love. He takes speechpore like a shower of nectar and fills the eyes with desire. Victory to the sweet maid of Bang. The great slanderer comes from a distinguished family. Excellent Brahmins, please pay the fee for giving the bride away. Wait for four years. Then for four years she will remain a kuttasen held in pledge. He takes new moon streak by the hand and dances joyfully with her. Slanderer. This does not seem consistent with your character. Joyfully. I have now freed New Moonstreak. Who brings delight to all humankind? From the clutches of this gang of wicked men. I have obtained her for myself. My heart is therefore filled with joy. I long to return to the Chamber of Pleasure and begin a mighty battle of love with her. Marking her body with the many weapons of enjoyment. The FOSS entitled the Ocean of Laughter ends.
