You are actively projecting the universal property of lasting fulfillment onto a temporary object. Exactly. Because I hold that false belief I am shoved into link 2, false. When I force my logical conscious brain to answer that exact question, the answer is always, undeniably, mathematically, no. And what happens in the mind of the exact moment you accept that no? The illusion shatters. The false knowledge is destroyed by the arrival of true knowledge. And here is the absolute magic of the Naya system. When you truly, deeply realize that the action will not give you the result you are hallucinating, the desire naturally weakens on its own. It evaporates. It just fades. You no longer need massive exhausting reserves of willpower to resist buying the phone because you no longer believe the phone is the answer. That just triggers the brain's defense mechanisms. Yeah, that never works. You say, I am going to put the phone in another room for exactly five minutes. You run an experiment. You prove to yourself through successful action that reality continues to function, and you survive without the object of your false desire. It is deeply empowering.
