PREETI × GAJENDRATHE VIDEHA LITERARY ATLAS

CRITICAL-APPRECIATION CHAPTER · K01

Turning the Pages, the Village’s Director: K.N.T.

Siyaram Jha ‘Saras’

Detailed description

Saras remembers Kripanand Thakur through the institutions of village life: tutoring, the Rambahadur public library, theatre, football and engineering service. Personal recollections show how collective effort widened educational and cultural opportunities, and how factional conflict could undo them. The concluding account of professional integrity connects this remembered example with Gajendra and Preeti’s work. It is a participant’s biographical memoir, not an independently verified institutional history.

This is a signed contribution in the volume’s editorial framing and contextual material strand. The page preserves the contributor’s attribution, the normalized chapter identity, the English-edition locator, and the paired Maithili/English repository manifestations so that the critical argument can be read in its book context rather than as an isolated quotation.
