Kamat argues that children’s writing requires simplicity of feeling and an imaginative return to the child’s perspective. Surveying four books, she highlights their illustrations and cultural transmission. Her most concrete example is the Purusha Pariksha activity book, where children identify stories, supply titles and dialogue, and colour drawings—combining literary inheritance with active participation.
