PREETI × GAJENDRATHE VIDEHA LITERARY ATLAS

CRITICAL-APPRECIATION CHAPTER · G17

Gajendra Thakur’s Kurukshetram Antarmanak

Uday Narayan Singh ‘Nachiketa’

Detailed description

Singh reads the seven-part collection as an experiment in bringing research, fiction, poetry, drama and children’s writing together under one author. He notices cultural range, political commentary and a creative voice distinct from the lexicographer’s technical persona. The book can be approached as a meta-text or a modern epic, but his praise is qualified: he finds uneven quality across its abundant material.

This is a signed contribution in the volume’s Gajendra Thakur, Videha and the wider literary-digital project strand. The page preserves the contributor’s attribution, the normalized chapter identity, the English-edition locator, and the paired Maithili/English repository manifestations so that the critical argument can be read in its book context rather than as an isolated quotation.
