Metadata is an argument about discoverability
The sampled pages organise research material through author, title, language, issue information and keywords. The opening also distinguishes the language of an original article from that of a translation. These decisions matter: they determine which paths a researcher can follow and which contributions remain difficult to locate.
This resource should not automatically be described as the full text of every article it identifies. Its visible value is bibliographic organisation and classification. A critical assessment therefore asks whether the categories preserve distinctions among research articles, criticism, memoir and other forms, and whether an entry supplies enough information to reach the original item. The sampled pages support those questions but not a complete audit of coverage. Treat the book as a research doorway whose records need to remain connected to their sources.
A QUESTION TO CARRY BACK
Can a researcher move from a keyword in an entry to the original article without having to guess its location?
