Sarisab, Gaur, Bali, Jagaur, and Khori: Soderpur Registers
before Sukhet
   This chapter continues the cumulative decoding immediately
after Chapter 24. Its exclusive source span is entries (153)
through (169). It begins with the Sarisab-to-Rashadh material that
follows the Sarisab-Soderpur opening and then follows the
sequence through Gaur, Bali, Jagaur, and Khori. The chapter
deliberately stops before entry (170), where the Sukhet-Soderpur
register begins. This preserves the one-chapter-at-a-time
coverage and prevents the next gramaram bha opening from
being absorbed into the Khori discussion.
   The common editorial feature in this span is that several
village registers are still being pulled into the Soderpur frame,
but the source does not treat them all in the same way. Sarisab
appears both as a major earlier mool and as a village under a
Soderpur heading; Gaur, Bali, Jagaur, and Khori are presented as
separate Soderpur-linked openings or route units. The final index
must therefore distinguish the controlling frame from the
immediate village-route heading.

25.1 Entry (153): Sarisab to Rashadh, Keshavnath Mishra, and
Shivnagar Khagnath Mishra
   Entry (153) opens the new chapter source span with Sarisab to
Rashadh and names Keshavnath Mishra and Shivnagar Khagnath
Mishra in the heading. The immediately preserved text continues
through Loknath and his descendants Chandrapati, Narpati,
Khem, and Bawani. The line then branches through Chandrapati,
Bhushan, Pushpan, Narpati, Shubhpati, Prandhan, Banamali,
Chakradhar, Dukhmochan, and Madhusudan. Because the
headword is Sarisab but the preceding chapter had just opened
an “atha Sarisab Soderpur gramaram bha,” this entry must be
indexed as a Sarisab-Soderpur continuation, not as a return to
the earlier Khangur-Sarisab cluster.

   The entry also shows the dense routing grammar typical of this
section: marriage or affiliation phrases point repeatedly to
Panichobh, Soderpur, Uini, Pali, Khoa l, Baliyas, Satlakha, and
Uchati. These do not erase the entry heading; they serve as
branch controls and cross-index signals.

25.2 Entries (154), (155), (156), (157), and (158): The Main
Sarisab Continuation
  Entry (154) is headed Sarisab to Kailakh and names
Madhusudan Mishra. It completes the line through Chakradhar,
Dukhmochan, Madhusudan, Mahidhar, Jaladhar, Khel, Bawani,
Devanath, Badarinath, Ramanath, Modanath, Doman, Hiralal,
and related collateral branches. Kailakh here is a destination or
route marker inside the Sarisab-Soderpur register; it should not
be merged with the earlier Hati-Kailakh or Raiyam-Kailakh
entries.
    Entry (155) continues under the simple Sarisab heading. It
begins with Ram and then lists Bhavan, Kamdev, Vishwambhar,
Rachni, Bhagirath, and Bhairav. The line then expands through
Kavi Basudev, Jagannath-pr. Jangali, Kaladhar, Bhikhari,
Buddhinath, Bhora, Vaidya Chhota, Lakshminath, Kashinath,
Amritnath, Ishanath, Kedar Nath, Janakinath, Hridaynath,
Kishornath, Devanath, Dharmanath, Nandnath, and Prabhunath.
Because the text has both poet markers and Vaidya markers, the
title index should record “Kavi” and “Vaidya” separately from the
personal names.
  Entry (156), Sarisab to Parasharma, is marked with source
number (78). It begins with Uhari, Madhu, Pritam, Umai,
Vanshidhar, Rudi, Dharmadatt, Bhailal, and then turns to Janu-pr.
Janardan. The Janardan branch contains Murli, Vaidya Hemnath,
Shivdatt,    Bhawanidatt,   Doman,     Damodar,     Maheshwar,
Parmeshwar, Bachcha, Vaishnav, Dukhiya, Manghan, and Sone.
The route and status markers in this entry are many, but the
editorial backbone remains the Sarisab branch.

   Entry (157), Sarisab to Chanpura, continues from Vanshidhar
and gives Bhaishridhar, Yogdhar, Srishtidhar, Urvidhar, Rudi,
Dharmadatt, Babujan, Matinath, Ganesh, Mahesh, Satyanarayan,
Jaydev, Digambar, Kaladhar, Balakrishna, Pritam, Bhavanidhi,
Durgadatt, Bhamar, Kanhaiya, Musari, Panchmani, and
Yadunandan. Chanpura should be indexed as a Sarisab route, not
as the Chanpura near Shivnagar entry from the previous chapter.
  Entry (158), Sarisab, source number (79), continues through
Musari, Vaidya Hemnath-pr. Hemkar, Vaidya Vachaspati,
Ratipati, Kamalakant, Meghakar, Nidhi, Lalit, Kedar, Nendanu,
Shivnadatt, Joraun, Dular, Jhadula, Jhotu, Jhapdu, Uma, and other
branches. The entry also contains an addendum-like Lagama to
Bhatra Ghat (Bisfi) note naming Suga, Madhuri, Aniruddh,
Krishnachandra, Govind, Manoj, Ashish, and Bhagy Narayan
Thakur. This addendum must be indexed as a distinct appendage,
because it does not have the same grammar as the main Sarisab
continuation.

25.3 Entries (159) and (160): Gaur-Soderpur, Maniyari, Belha,
Rashadh, and Janta
   Entry (159) formally opens “atha Gaur Soderpur gramaram
bha” and is headed Gaur Soderpur to Maniyari, Belha, and near
Rashadh. The opening line begins with Bahoran and then gives
Vaidya Vanshmani, Pyarelal, Vaidya Faturi, Nath, Babunath,
Thithar, Raghunandan, Brajnandan, Devi, Gunanand, Jaydatt,
Brahmadatt, Mitranath, Vaidya Kirtinath, and Jyotishi Pritinath.
Gaur therefore becomes a Soderpur village opening in its own
right.
   Entry (160), Gaur to Janta, continues the Gaur register. It
names Mishra Diha and then Horil, Shivnath, Buddhinath,
Poshan, Pakshadhar, Chana, Munidatt, Nand Kumar, Nand
Kishor, Ram Kishor, Shyam Kishor, Babulal, Vaidya Lal, Shrikant,
Jaykant, Damodar, Shripati, Sri Nandan, Brajnandan, Kirtyanand,
Nityanand, Indranand, Pranmohan, and Narendra Mohan. Janta
should be added as a route under Gaur-Soderpur.

   The control index contains Gaur-Soderpur references,
including one to Bachhai son of Madhupati Mishra of Maniyari
and another to Sagar son of Pashupati Mishra of Kachhua. These
index nodes confirm that Gaur is not an incidental place in this
chapter; it is a recognized Soderpur-linked unit.

25.4 Entries (161) and (162): Bali-Soderpur, Pilkhwar, Ayachi
Mishra, and Nagram
   Entry (161) opens “atha Bali Soderpur se gramaram bha” and
is headed Bali to Pilkhwar. It also contains the important note
that the branch concerns the descendants of Mahamahopadhyay
or Ath Bhavanath-pr. Dube-pr. Ayachi Mishra’s second marriage.
The entry begins with Dukharan and gives Lakshmidatt, Dhira,
Jyotishi Devidatt, Kirtinath, Giridhari, Narhari, Shankar, Phanilal,
Sonelal, Banamali, Lala, Yogi, Shrimant, Keshav, Yadav, Madhav,
Raghav, Hrishikesh, Umanath, Ishdatt, Shambhunath, Bhag at,
Pritam, and Narayandatt.
   This is one of the chapter’s clearest cases where a title or
intellectual status marker belongs in the index. M.M., Jyotishi,
Dube-pr., and the Ayachi Mishra identification should all be
preserved. The note about a second marriage is not a decorative
phrase; it explains why this line may require separate treatment
in a final family tree.
   Entry (162), Bali to Nagram, completes the Bali section through
Narayandatt, Jyotishi Devidatt, Hiramani, Bhai, Durlalit,
Avadhnarayan, Chatur, Nandan, Gunjar, Lakshmikant, Loknath,
and Kalanath. Nagram here functions as the route or destination
label for the entry, not as a new gramaram bha opening.

25.5 Entries (163) and (164): Jagaur-Soderpur and
Ravopa/Jhanjharpur
  Entry (163) opens “Jagaur Soderpur gramaram bha.” It begins
with Mishra Dhanesh and then gives Bula, Jiveshwar, Gokulnath,
Rajninath, Dullah, Nena, Kalar, Yaduvir, Kashinath, Vishwanath,
Dinanath, Kedar Nath, and related lines. Although the index
excerpt available for Jagaur points to a Mandar-related node

elsewhere, the source heading in this volume is explicit: this
entry belongs to the Soderpur register sequence.
   Entry (164), Jagaur to Ravopa, Jhanjharpur, continues through
Jiveshwar, Tengra, Bhuvanesh, Jhalhu, Giridhari, Bhabhanesh,
Gokulnath, Baburaiya, Devanath, Kapileshwar, Khedan, Siddhi,
and related branches. Ravopa and Jhanjharpur should therefore
be cross-indexed as destinations under the Jagaur entry.

25.6 Entries (165), (166), (167), (168), and (169): Khori-
Soderpur and the Road to Rashadh-Purnea
   Entry (165) opens “atha Khori Soderpur gramaram bha” and is
headed Khori to Saurath. It begins with Raiya and Atmaram, then
expands through Sarvasva, Ratte, Babunath, Bachharan,
Ishwaridatt, Amritnath, Lal, Jamahir, Hirmani, Nand Kishor,
Bhuvaneshwar, Mannulal, Mukund, Vaidya Basudev, Sundar, and
Vaidya Krishnadev. The index separately confirms “Soderpur
Khori gramaram bha,” which makes Khori a controlled Soderpur
register, not merely a route inside another line.
   Entry (166) continues Khori to Saurath and adds Chanpura,
Janta, and Madhav Jha. It carries the Ratte and Taradatt material
through     Thithar, Bholanath, Babuek,        Bhaiyan,   Murli,
Shankardatt, Madhav, Pauranik Raghunath, Vaidya Bachchelal,
Vaidya Manmohan, Muna i, Chakrapani, and Ganesh. It also
shows how older honorifics such as Pauranik and Vaidya remain
tied to genealogical identity.
  Entry (167) moves Khori to Rahik, Naraha, and Tharhi. It
continues Chakrapani’s Ganesh, Kamalpati, Gauripati, Chilka,
Chhabnu, Bhaiyaram, Durgadatt, Vishnudatt, Vedanath, Ram,
Revathinath, Shrinath, Gopi, Bhikshuk, Balkaram, Hanumandatt,
Keshav, Parmeshwar, Ghani, Shyam, Hirphul, Lakshman, and
associated descendants. The multiple destinations should be
preserved exactly as route labels.
   Entry (168), Anhar-Gaur-Khori to Tharhi, Rashadh, and
Purnea, brings together three place labels in a complex heading.
It continues through Sonelal, Dukharan, Jitu, Lakshman,

Markandey, Ramanand, Ajay Kumar, Vinod, Arvind, Tul a,
Shyam, Baburaiya, Giridhari, Kanhaiya, Ram, Dharnmi, Mana,
Durmmil,    Durgadatt,   Ramkrishna,     Manikrishna,   Phani,
Vidyanath, Kashinath, Gaurinath, Shivnath, and Shankarnath.
  Entry (169), Khori to Rashadh, Shivnagar, Dharmapur country,
Purnea, completes the Khori block before the next register. It
records Shilanath, Bhul, Mandhan, Pushpanath-pr. Khushi,
Madhusudan, Shankarnath, Ramkrishna, and Bhawanidatt. The
next source line begins entry (170), Sukhet-Soderpur, so this
chapter must stop here and leave Sukhet for Chapter 26.

25.7 Index Logic for Chapter 25
   The primary index control is Soderpur. Sarisab, Gaur, Bali,
Jagaur, and Khori all appear in this source span as Soderpur-
linked units or continuations. Sarisab requires special care
because it is both an earlier major mool and, here, a Sarisab-
Soderpur register. Gaur has independent index confirmation as a
Soderpur node. Khori also has an index-level Soderpur
gramaram bha reference. Bali and Jagaur should be indexed
from the source headings, with “Soderpur” added as the
controlling frame.
   The route index should separate repeated destinations.
Kailakh appears again in Sarisab, but it must not be merged with
the Kailakh branches of Hati, Raiyam, or Khangur. Chanpura
appears again under Sarisab and Khori, and Janta appears under
Gaur and Khori. These are route labels and must be cross-
referenced by immediate source entry.
  The     title/status    index      should  preserve    M.M.,
Mahamahopadhyay, Jyotishi, Vaidya, Kavi, Pauranik, and other
professional markers. The Bali entry’s note about Ayachi
Mishra’s second marriage is especially important and should be
indexed as a relationship qualifier.
