Chapter 63
   Barauni, Bhadual, Belaunja,
Katouna, and Satauli: Entries (517)-
              (528)
This chapter resumes after the Kakraud-Pindaschh close
and treats only entries (517)-(528). The sequence begins with
Barauni but the operative formula of entry (517) is Sakuri-
Mandar gramarambh; it then moves through Barauni-Janta,
Bhadual-Mandar, Belaunja-Tharhi/Tarauni, Katouna-Mandar,
Basantpur, Katouna-Shashipur, and finally the Satauli-
Satlakhā-Narha field. The movement is therefore not a single-
village narrative but a sequence of Mandar and Satlakhā
proof-fields, each joining old lineage names to dau and ddau
route controls.

Entry (517): Barauni under the Sakuri-Mandar
gramarambh
Entry (517) is headed Barauni, but it immediately declares
the Sakuri-Mandar gramarambh. The opening ancestor is
Chudamani, whose son Hardatt is proved through Kujouli-
Mohan-Purushottam and Darihara-Pati. Hardatt then gives a
wide son-list: Ugradatt, Krishnadatt, Maheshdatt, Tirthadatt,
Chandradatt, Narsinghdatt, and Venidatt, connected through
Karmaha-Purushottam-Jaganu and Pandua-Kamalnayan.
Ugradatt is routed through Soderpur-Bandhu-Jeevan and
Budhwal-Ban. Krishnadatt produces Dinmani through
Ghusaut-Chanan-Bacha and Balias-Khadganarayan. Dinmani
gives Manohar through Pabouli-Baburaiya-Nena and
Panichobh-Kanhai; Manohar is then carried through
Soderpur-Saburdatt-Musahar and Kujouli-Punyadatt.
Maheshdatt gives Lerbib through Takbal-Bodhkrishna-

Gauridatt and Sakararhi-Bhola, while another Maheshdatt
branch is routed through Panichobh-Jaynath-Gunanidhi and
Satlakha-Dillu. Tirthadatt is assigned the same Panichobh-
Gunanidhi and Satlakha-Dillu frame.
The entry then shifts to Chandramani and to the
Ramashwar/Rukmanidatt line. Chandramani gives
Rukmanidatt, Vishweshwardatt, and Ramashwardatt through
Karmaha-Rudranath-Shitaladatt and Narun-Bottu.
Rukmanidatt is linked through Hariamb-Nena-Judaun and
Darihara-Shambhu. Apara branches give Keshav, Madhav,
and Damodar through Soderpur-Ishannath-Gudar and
Darihara-Ishwaridatt. Keshav is tied through Soderpur-
Modanand-Rudanand and Darihara-Pyare; Madhav produces
Vishwambhar through Haripur-Pali-Vaidyanath-Raghav and
Sakararhi-Keshav. Vishwambhar is then routed through
Pabouli-Siddhinath-Amarnath and Narun-Pa Nirsu.
The closing part of entry (517) gives Vishweshwardatt with
Aniruddh, Basudev, and Gulab through Karmaha-Nenwa-
Lakshmidatt-Manmohan and Pabouli-Devanand-Sonmani.
Ramashwardatt gives Batesh through Soderpur-Badan-
Madhusudan and Ghusaut-Muni. Venidatt gives
Parameshwaridatt through Narun-Narpati-Phoiya and
Soderpur-Balah. Parameshwaridatt then gives Babulal and
Khushru through Pabouli-Baburaiya-Nena and Panichobh-
Kanhai; Babulal gives Kalikadatt through Pali-Jhontan-
Girdhari and Satlakha-Hibharan. Thus the entry establishes
Barauni by spreading a Sakuri-Mandar root into several
parallel proof-routes.

Entry (518): Barauni-Janta
Entry (518) continues Barauni and adds the Janta marker
under internal number (264). Kalikadatt is followed by a
Soderpur-Keshav-Manohar and Panichobh-Khushru route.
Khushru gives Nirsu under a Vats-Narun-Dular-Faturi proof

and a Ghusaut-Amoldatt counter-proof. The entry also refers
to Ghanshyam and Ratanu, where Ratanu is proved through
Sarisab-Madhav-Lakshman and Alay-Bharat.
Ratanu gives Vaidyanath and Jagannath through Pali-
Manhar-Nayan and Jajival-Nityanand. Jagannath gives
Shankardatt through Hariamb-Kale-Khushihal and Gangoli-
Kala. Shankardatt gives Bachharan through Alay-Vidyapati-
Kalar and Darihara-Shridatt. Bachharan produces Basudev,
Shilanath, and Kishornath through Soderpur-Atmaram-Ratte
and Hariamb-Santoshmani. Shilanath is tied to the long
Soderpur-Lakshmidatt-Kirtinath-Thuri-Madhusudan and
Budhwal-Doman-Brahmadatt chain. Chhotai gives Jeevanath,
and Jeevanath gives Shivnath and Sinalal through Soderpur-
Ghanshyam-Gopipal and Mandar-Gatiram. The entry closes
with Shivnath, Babua or Raghunath, Nanu, Mehsh, and
Shyamlal, before giving Sinalal’s son Durgadatt through
Budhwal-Devkrishna-Indrapati and Pabouli-Kalidas.

Entry (519): Bhadual-Mandar, with
Jhanjharpur, Jadsaini, and Vishnupur
Entry (519) opens with an invocation and explicitly gives
the Bhadual-Mandar gramarambh. It names the field as
Bhadual to Jhanjharpur, Jadsaini, and Vishnupur. Shivdatt
gives Devan and Raghan through Soderpur-Vidyadhar-
Umanath and Ghusaut-Vanshi. Devan gives Harikrishna
through Sarisab-Harpati-Rudradhar and Ekhara-Khagesh.
Harikrishna gives Bachkan through Hariamb-Bhanjan-Nenan
and Ekhara-Devidatt. Bachkan gives Nirsan through Sarisab-
Kashinath-Shrinath and Karmaha-Teknath, and Nirsan is
connected through Babhaniam-Bathan-Gopal and Balias-
Mohanlal.
The Raghan-Ramkrishna side is equally important. Raghan
gives Ramkrishna through Soderpur-Nenu-Datt and Karmaha-
Chitradhar, with Satlakha-Someshwar marked as kasthut.

Ramkrishna gives Sonelal, Gopal, Madhusudan, Mukund, and
Keshav through Pali-Mansukh-Chandradev and Belaunch-

Chhotku-Sundar and Khaual-Gopal. Madhusudan gives Bechu
and Jayabhadra through Pabouli-Amritnath-Babujan and
Balias-Devi. Bechu’s branch attaches to Karmaha-Umanath-
Lala-Bachanu and Narun-Pa Dular-Ramnarayan, with
Ghusaut-Thakur-Amoldatt also recorded. Keshav gives
Modnath through Ghusaut-Lanha-Kulmani and Pabouli-
Adinath, and Modnath is linked through Ghusaut-Janardan-
Raghuvansh and Mandar-Bambe.

Entry (520): Bhadual-Madari

Devidatt-Lakshminath and Khaual-Nehal.
The Manrakkhan-Madhav line broadens the field. Madhav
is tied through Sarisab-Hridaynath-Gudar and Satlakha-
Ramanath. Madhav then gives Chandrakant, Shambhunath,
and Shubhakant, using a complex Alay-Ami descent through
Rupnath, Jhumak, and Dhanush, and additional Balias-

Shambhunath-Ramlal, Pali-Lal-Krishnmani, Balias-Bhavnath-
Shomnath, and Babhaniam-Ranjan proofs. The entry closes
with Puran through Pali-Veniram-Chandradatt and Balias-
Revatiraman, and Dukhiya through Ganesh and Dhuni, where
Dhuni is tied through Karmaha-Hemnarayan-Mandhan and
Soderpur-Bachchan.

through Ekhara-Chhakorik-Poshan and Takbal-Bodhkrishna;
Krishnmani is then tied through Ghusaut-Bacha-Dhan and
Khaual-Kari. The brevity of this entry does not make it minor;
it marks the Sonmani continuation and secures its place in the
same Belaunja frame.

Entries (523)-(526): Katouna-Mandar,
Basantpur, and Katouna-Shashipur
Entry (523) opens with an invocation to Shiva and begins

Interpretive note on the chapter
Entries (517)-(528) show a sustained shift from the Mandar
villages into Satauli-Satlakha. The Panji method remains the
same: a gramarambh heading opens a field, but proof is
actually produced by a network of daughter routes, apara
branches, professional titles, and counter-checking dau/ddau
references. Barauni is thus not merely Barauni; it is a Sakuri-
Mandar field. Bhadual is not merely a place-name; it is a
Mandar proof-unit with Jhanjharpur, Jadsaini, and Vishnupur
extensions. Katouna is both a Mandar gramarambh and a
gateway into Basantpur and Shashipur. Satauli then opens the
Satlakha register and carries it to Narha.
The editorial duty in this chapter is to preserve the
intermediate anchors rather than compress them into modern
surnames or villages. Terms such as gramarambh, apara,
kasthut, dau, ddau, Jyotirvid, Vaiya, Chaudhary, and
Mahopadhyaya are functional markers in the record. The dots
and suspended fragments show places where the manuscript
carries a known but incomplete route. They have therefore
been interpreted as genealogical checkpoints rather than
ignored as accidental blanks.
The chapter stops before entry (529), where the source
continues the Satauli material with a new Rishi line. That
continuation belongs to the next chapter and has not been
included here.

Boundary verification. In the formal sequence this chapter follows Volume IV Chapter 62, “Rajoura-Pindaruch, Bihnagar-Kakraud, Bagahi- Kakraud, and Pindaschh: Entries (511)-(516)” and precedes Volume IV Chapter 64, “Satauli Continuations, Purnia, Jayanand, Virsayar, and Parihari: Entries (529)-(534) This chapter continues the Satauli-Satlakha block which”. The chapter extractor begins at the verified formal Chapter 63 marker and stops at the next verified formal chapter marker; for a final chapter it stops before recognized book-level back matter. The concordance above is generated only from distinct terms already present in this chapter’s preserved source text. It is provided for discovery, comparison, and audit, not as an automated judgment about persons, lineages, status, kinship, marriage eligibility, or historical truth.
